I will give 3.5 if possible. They were understaffed. Only one server for the entire restaurant (she deserved 5 stars!). The... drinks were flavorful but sparse. 60% ice. Food…. My girlfriend ordered the cheeseburger taco and said it tasted likehamburger helper. I had the bowl with Carne Asada and I thought it was delicious! This place goes out of its way to be annoying. Ordered takeout having never been before but off recommendations from friends.... I’m not sure if those friends have never eaten a full meal before, but for $70 this was certainly not a full dinner. Myboyfriend and I each got three tacos. It’s a bummer because the tacos were actually pretty good (except for the fact that theywere street tacos on flour tortillas instead of corn??), the beef was great and so was the fish. HOWEVER, each of the tiny tinytacos were $4.75 each, which is quite honestly an outlandish price for such a small taco. We got an order of rice and beanswhich were chucked into a box and weren’t at all seasoned. I could make better rice and beans, save $6 (!!), from a can athome. Lastly, we got the backpack drinks, which while they were good, were filled with weird coconut ice cubes that ruined oursink and were clearly used as placeholders to hide how small the drink was. Would only ever come back here if my enemy wastaking me so that I could rub in their face how much money they got for such a mediocre experience. Read more
Street corn fries were delicious! Mini tacos were average, I had the bang bang shrimp, fish & fried chicken. the vibe was nice,... trendy and aesthetically pleasing. The service was good overall. We accidentally walked out without our doggie bag & turnedaround 2 minutes later for it was already in the trash ???? but def our mistake, still thinking about those fries lol Read more
I went to Taco Daddy for drinks, and appetizers with my husband for his birthday. First of all Alexa went way above and beyond... to make us comfortable, I believe she’s a manager there. She also gave my husband a complementary drink which was beautiful inpresentation, and great in taste:) The chicken Nachos were pretty good too! Read more
I heard great reviews from people so I had to go try it. I was very excited, but we were welcomed with interesting service.... First, all the waiters had no uniform. At first, I thought it was nothing, but I soon realized it can cause confusion. Fourdifferent waiters came up to us and at one point one waitress had a purse and it caught us off guard because we thought she wasalso a customer but she wasn’t. Also, they never gave us any napkins, plates or anything. Our main waitress never reallychecked up on us or offered water when our glasses were empty. The food was ok. My fish taco wasn’t crispy, the bang bangshrimp just tasted like Mayo, and the barbacoa was ok. Overall the tacos were one note. No depth of flavor. My boyfriend’sCrunchwrap was greasy. He said that the place is an expensive version of taco bell. 1 star but an extra star because I foundthe nachos good. I heard the drinks were good, but we went on a weekday so we weren’t drinking. The food was OK can’t really complain. Haven’t had any of their drinks but I did hear that they are good. Had to wait a... little while before giving my order. In a pretty decent area in Stamford. Excitedly went to Taco Daddy for the first time recently! I am so sad to say it does not live up to the hype. The atmosphere... 10/10, the food not so much. Ordered 3 $5 tacos, and plantains thinking it would be enough. I ended up ordering 3 more tacos soI ate a total of 6. They were all different flavors and I have to say only 2 were good. Someone said to me "but their drinks arebetter". So while that is more than likely true, this place is called Taco Daddy, and not everyone drinks alcohol. Read more
