We were the 2 Asian guys that went there for dine in a few weeks ago around Labor Day weekend. I ordered the Carne Asada... Guatemalteca along with some fried Plantains as well. It wa really good. I was so stupid, I ate the food so fast that I forgotto take pictures. The meat was nicely seasoned, came with beans and rice and salad and a couple of their versions of tortillas. The tortillas were thick kinda like a chalupa shell but not deep fried, rather grilled. They made for a nice Peruvian taco. Putsome meat rice and beans along with their house sauce, muy delicioso!!! I ordered wings and fries too, but ended up taking thattogo for dinner. The fried plantains were also amazing. I think the Central and South American restaurants just know how tomake their plantains. It was grilled/fried to perfection. Not too knowledgeable on how they prepare them, but all I know isthey're the bomb!!! The waitress was very nice and was surprised I could speak Spanish. I like to practice when I have thechance, and she was very helpful in responding back in Spanish for me. I cannot wait to come back to CT and visit this hiddengem. :) Read more

If I could give zero stars I would! We?ve never ordered from here before but we will 100% avoid this place the next time we?re... craving Peruvian food. We ordered the pork chops & in all my years I have never seen pork chops this small or look that odd. Wecalled to complain and the woman that answered had major attitude. NEVER AGAIN! Read more

BE ADVISED STAY AWAY NOT WORTH IT. This place used to be the spot to go to to get really good food at an awesome price and for a... good amount. I'm not sure what happened if it changed owners, but I would advise not to go there. Ordered take out for a fewcoworkers and I to have lunch. Spent $88+ on a meal that was not even full. As pictured they now ration your food. I understandtimes are hard and prices are up, but no reason to charge more and give you less doesn't add up. Didn't realize until after Igot back to work. I called them up right away and asked how in the world they could charge $3.99 for 4 pieces of friedplantains. The manager told me that is what his boss told him to put on the plate. Your best bet is to give business to anotherrestaurant like old house 2. Won't be going back there other than to get my money back. Read more

Incredible restaurant with generous portions and delicious flavors. We fell upon this gem by accident on a Saturday morning and... were rewarded with an amazing brunch. The chorizo and homemade tortillas were the most memorable but their rice & beans, eggs, grilled chicken and plantains were also very tasty. I can?t wait to go back to have lunch and/or dinner! Also, service was veryfriendly. Read more

Small and cozy Peruvian diner with friendly wait staff who speak both Spanish and English, for those travelling from Latin... America or Spain. Price range allows for just about any budget to enjoy a sizable and tasty meal. Comes together well for afamily outing, as well as just grabbing a bite by yourself or with a friend. Drink options however, need to be expanded. Located in a quiet, idyllic neighbourhood, it wasnt so busy when I visited. Parking lot is small but there is definitely a lotof available street parking with good viewing thereof, from inside. Great food, service and prices! Be sure to ask about theirlunch specials too! All in all, a great experience for my first morning in Connecticut. Read more

This is a small place, but great things do come in small packages at times. The environment is very nice here and the service is... excellent. The food is good and the price makes it even better. They have some great desserts, my favorite being the tresleches. I like Peruvian food, and if you do too and are nearby, definitely go check this place out. You won't be disappointed. Read more
