I rate a 3 bc nonfruit desserts are not good. Regular food is ok. I was there with my daughter on weekend when buffet is... $24.99. Very Disappointed when my daughter did not finish two small California rolls And wanted a container to take home. Thewaitress told us we had to pay for them 50 cents each. I was shocked since these were left Overs from Her buffet dish that I wasalready paying $25. It's not like she was taken out a full dish of food. I paid the $1 but I took it off from the tip I wasinitially giving the waitress for bringing us drinks to the table. A dollar is not a lot of money but it's just the concept. Very disappointed from their business practice I don't think I will go there again. Read more
Came here after thinking it was associated with another Kumo all you can eat sushi restaurant in NJ. Was disappointed to find... low quality food and a lack of selection of rolls. At this price ($25) would expect made to order sushi. Supermarket sushi isbetter. Read more
I took my family out for dinner today, I swear kumo’s , have a new owner, the food suck . The calamari was hard and rubbery ,... Sushi rolls were bulked up with so much rice and the salmon and tuna was dried out looking disgusting . The staff was friendlyand kind . The choice on the menu was cheep and it just was not worth the price paying for it, the sea food selection washorrible oysters and mussels tasted like they wash the hell out of it with water. Good buffet dishes selection and surprisingly good taste compared to other buffets. Fried calamari, shrimp, spring roll, fried... clams, fried rice and chow mien. Good Sushi variety and sashimi. Lame dessert cakes. Ice cream and chocolate fountain. 3 if uspaid $80 total. Good place for kids. Attentive staff always removing plates and buffet is always refilled. Read more
This place was really hit hard by the pandemic. Gone are the days where customers walk up to a buffet and pick their own food. ... Kumo has done a great job pivoting in this environment. You make you kitchen and sushi bar selections on a piece of paper, andthe food is brought to you. You can order as much as you like, but eat it all as to avoid a surcharge (very fair). Sure, youhave to wait for your food, but it is fresh as it’s made to order instead of sitting on the buffet. Also, sashimi isavailable for lunch. For $20.99, this is a fantastic deal for lunch. Before the pandemic, lunch was $10.99, but in my opinionthe current setup offers better quality and is totally worth the price. Kumo has weathered the pandemic very well and deservessupport! Surprise! There’s a mini grocery store in here!! Wowow I didn’t expect a grocery to be inside the restaurant. It had some... South East Asian goods (mostly Chinese), which was great because the nearest major Korean grocery store is over a half houraway. There is a Japanese grocery about 2.5 miles to the west and an Indian market next door. But still nice to have somethingconvenient and walking distance. I bought some strawberries since they were a great price (2 for 5) and cheaper than ShopRiteor Stop and Shop. I also bought mandarins since I love tangerines and they don’t sell those around here (also they just lookedreally good and I’m glad I bought it) it might have been $1 a tangerine, though ????. They also had some Asian vegetables andNapa cabbage! And hot pot stuff so I’ll definitely come here when I want some close by veggies. They’re also fresh andlooked good. I’ll have to see if the restaurant is good sometime. Now I’m curious ????. Read more
