IHOP lived up to its name International House of Pancakes. A cornucopia of good smells. The food was delicious along with the... coffee. You can't beat the price or the portions for the price. First time visiting. Went on a Friday night around 930pm. Everything was wrong with our food. It came out too late, the food... tasted terrible and everything was just greasy. Our French toast didn?t have butter on it, the bread was dry, the eggs tastedfake and too chewy, sirloin tips were all fat no beef, our orange juice and ice tea were watered down. I went to this location twice in the same day. I noticed the in the morning time, it was well organized, the server was polite... and attentive, and the food came out quick and cooked to perfection. In the evening. It was a completely different experience.The server ran out of juice for my niece and brought a half a cup of juice to the table, instead of coming and asking us to makeanother choice. I had to then ask for another half of something else. She never came to check on my table. I had to find herand make eye contact for her to come, or it would be a long wait to get something from her. I ordered eggs fried hard and onewas fried hard while the others were runny. When I told her to fix it, I over heard her telling the cooks I was complaining.That was unprofessional and rude. Had she paid attention, she would've seen the yolk not fried on my plate and sent it backherself. I used to come to this location in the past, but stopped because of service like this. Stopped here as it was close to the highway leaving DC. It was busy, but we did not have to wait to be seated on a Sunday. Our... waiter was good and food was timely and tasted as one would expect. It was an older restaurant but seemed clean. There were nocoffee carafes here but someone was going around filling mugs. I took 1 star off b/c it wasn't explained that we had to pay thewaiter (all the ihops I go to, you pay at the front). Read more
Not the dirtiest IHOP I have ever been to. We went on a Saturday around 1 and there was no wait. I got my usual steak tips and... eggs while the wife got a spinach and mushroom omelette. Food was good, keep in mind this is IHOP we are talking about. Thekids split a silver dollar pancake breakfast for second lunch and loved it. This is a great place to bring kids. Food was way overpriced for the portion size, and when does it cost a dollar to add onions to the spoonful of hashbrowns. I... couldn't use military discount or coupon from the book that I bought because "manager was busy and they have the card". Theyhave a sign requesting patience as they are understaffed, but does patience include substandard food? Update: after sendingphotos, ihop management says "sorry".
