Reviews for Pueblo Solis in St. Louis, MO
Stopped by Pueblo Solis when in SoHa on errands. It had been years since I have been there. My friend and I sat on the side... patio which was nice. The service was good and prompt. The margaritas were tasty but overpriced along with the rest of themenu. We both decided to go with the fish tacos ???? since they were the special for the day. Big mistake! The fish did nottaste fresh at all and was bland on top of it. I could only take a couple bites and packed up the rest. FYI the chips come on ahuge platter with three tiny salsa containers. It was like trying to dive head first into a kiddie pool. Overall, a margaritaand 1 fish taco dinner was $30 with tip for 1 person. Love supporting local but too many good places out there. Hope theyimprove. Read more
It has been years since I dined at Pueblo Solis so we decided to stop in for dinner one evening. The atmosphere and staff are... fantastic! Our drinks were never empty and someone was always making sure we had everything we needed. The frozen, raspberryMargarita is tasty. However, the food fell short. The complimentary chips and salsa are average. There are three differentsalsas which come in very small ramekins making dipping difficult. Use a bowl, please. I decided on the fish tacos which wereserved with rice and beans. Big mistake. I should have ordered anything but the fish tacos, and could only eat one. Verydisappointing as I remember the food being good. Everything is overpriced. Read more
They serve 3 types of salsa with their chips. The spicy margarita could be spicier. The rice was my favorite, it was really... close to my mom's. Read more

Really innovative options for the veggies and the pescies--err, pescatarians ????--among us. I arrived on a Monday... afternoon--it's hard to find any place open on Mondays in South City--and decided to sit on the patio, though it was arguablytoo cold for that. (I was warm from walking and optimistic.) Their chips are fairly good, but their salsas were the standout:salsa fresca, salsa verde, and one made from dried chilies. I ordered sopes and tamales. I had heard of but never tried sopes, but they're a great vegetarian option--just beans, cheese, and pico de gallo on a corn cake base. It comes with guac, as well. I also tried both the jalapeño and cheese tamales and the bean ones. The bean were plain but delicious with the salsas, whichI'd hung onto so I could enjoy them with my meal. The jalapeño cheese ones were a revelation. Who knew vegetarian food could bethis exciting? My server was Fede and he was fantastic. He checked on me many times and asked how I liked everything. I had toget a to go container, as the sopes appetizer could easily be an entree, but I'm not at all upset about having another meal ortwo at home! Read more
