First time at this establishment! Classic Eggs Benedict was perfect and the cook did not get anything wrong! Good vibes this... morning. Wait staff perfectly behaved and Lisa R. was friendly pleasant and accommodating. Service was prompt and professional. Not too rushed as I was there just after they opened for brunch (9 am Sundays). I am certain that this establishment gets verybusy! I will have to rate them during such time that I return either by myself or with company. I will definitely return! Read more

Had a great brunch experience here! Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. I ordered a pretty basic Belgian waffle but did... sample around the table and the Chorizo Avocado Benedict and Brunch Monster (pictured) were both delicious. Unlimited mimosaswere def a factor in picking this place, and they DID not disappoint. Although there is a hour and thirty minute limit, theypour a great mix that isn't too heavy on the OJ????. Food and mimosas were on point and the atmosphere was cute and quaint. Iwould definitely visit again if I am in St. Louis and recommend anyone to give it a try if looking for a brunch spot withunlimited mimosas!???? Read more

So DISAPPOINTING! The food is BLAND, with a capital B. I had cheesy grits and shrimp. It had no taste outside the shrimp... itself. The grits were flavorless to the point it was disgusting. The avocado toast was completely watery and tasteless. Imake better avocado toast at home with mozzarella tomatoes and balsamic. Their version of the toast was gross. Their eggsBenedict was little to be desired. I had been want to try this place for months. This is just sad. The bloody Mary?s weredisgusting, both types tasted the same. Worst cocktail I have ever had. At least I tried and conquered, definitely not aregular spot. Read more

First time at Polite Society for brunch and it did not disappoint! Chicken & waffles were the absolute best I've ever tasted &... the cherry on tip was the Thai chili maple syrup, OMG! Shrimp & grits were spectacular and I'm not a fan of grits in general, but these were lucky the bowl clean delicious!! I've also gone fur Dinner and the spinach dip was soon good, as well as awonderful burger, so delicious. My cocktail, the Michigander, was a joy to sip. If you like bourbon, don't sleep on that one! In the heart of Lafayette Square, lies this gem. Built in one of the historic row homes, the restaurant has 2 floors. The... service was excellent and the food/drinks were top tier. With it being our first time, we tried several items on themenu...devil eggs, shrimp and grits, steak, udon noodles, duck, etc... The vibe is very chill, easy to have conversation, andthe lighting is low...almost intimate-like. It's perfect for a date night. I'd recommend checking them out. Unfortunately, Ican't give 5 stars due to a hair being found in the food. They apologized perfusely and made it right for us. I'm sure it wasa one off, because everything else was perfect! Read more
