I am a grubhub driver. As soon as I walked in and told the man my order number he shook his head and said at least another 20... min. 40 minutes in and he asked to use my phone to contact customer because their phone was down. It took a total of 1.5 hours before I got the order. The man was extremely rude and wanted me to click order received when the order wasn't evenfinished. My cousin told me about this place, therefore, I wanted to see for myself. On my first visit I ordered a shrimp and chicken... wing combo plate. My two sides were collard greens and fried okra. I thought they were going to give me wingettes like mostrestaurants do. When I got home, to my surprise they had given me 5 whole wings and approximately 6 huge jumbo shrimp ????. Myfood was so delicious. I went back the next day and ordered a tripe sandwich. On Wednesday's they have tripe sandwiches for$5. It was amazing. The tripe was so tender, it melts in your mouth. I will definitely be going back. I'm going to introducemy friends and family to this restaurant. The prices are reasonable. The food wasn't overly seasoned. Kudos to you Joe Jo'sFish and Grill. Probably the best fried Okra I've ever had. Fried tilapia was very good. Conscientious enough to poke lots of holes in the to go... box so the fish and okra didn't get soggy. It's too bad I don't live closer or I would be a regular. :) Read more
I'm always on the hunt for some good fish and shrimp. Being ole school I had really missed Sara Lou,s however to find Joe Jo's... on Google was the best search ever!! I had the jumbo shrimp, with catfish fillers and spaghetti. It was all so yummy. I'd liketo show this place off on The Marketing With Mary Show because everyone I know will fall in love with their food. Fresh and Hotwith great portions. Now I must try the chicken wings. Read more
Tried them for the 1st time today. Ordered jumbo shrimp, collard greens w/smoked Turkey, hush puppies (4). Also ordered their... jack filet special which came with 2 filets and fries. The shrimp are definitely jumbo and not over battered. They werebutterflied and delicious. The collards were typical, hush puppies were lacking and not worth getting. They were hard and dry.The jack and frieswere typical. This got a 4 star rating because it tasted as if everything including fries and collards hadsugar in the seasoning. Which I do not like. This place is a gem. Joe-jo?s opened in May 2020 during a rough time for the food services industry, but yet here they are. For... no thrills well cooked food that is locally owned, this is your stop. Friendly service as well! I recommend the wings with sweethot sauce, it is not spicy at all, so if you want some kick ask for it! Read more
