Tried this spot out for the first time & I?m a little picky when it comes to food BUT they?re great! I got the jerk chicken... entree with plantains & spicy cabbage, rice & beans (extra side) and a beef patty. The price is worth it when the food isactually good. Will definitely come back Update: I initially gave this place a 5 star, but there?s a new girl working the fronttaking phone orders and her customer service sucks so bad. Issues with my order every time I order with her. I was having agreat experience coming here up until encountering her. Now it seems to be attitude & carelessness with taking my order andfixing it when it?s wrong. She?s quick to tell you it?s her first week and every week can?t be your ?first week? lol. I ordered from this restaurant for the first time and WOW!! Best Jamaican food I?ve ever had including in Jamaica. Had the jerk... wings over rice with sides of spicy slaw and OMG sweet potatoes. Do NOT let the appearance of the location fool you. This food is worth the price and drive. I try new food places frequently of... different nationalities. Finding this place was random through google search, and now I see why this restaurant popped up first!Their entrees are $24 you get two sides and your main meat is over a bed of well seasoned moist rice and beans. I orderedoxtails with macaroni and cabbage. I?m VERY picky with macaroni! Just because it?s cheesy doesn?t mean it?s good. But the Macwas seasoned, creamy, and cheesy. The cabbage had hint of heat and a Smokey meat flavor? A+. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chopswith fried plantain and corn on the cob. The food didn?t make it out the car before we were licking our fingers. The lamb chopswere perfectly seared and seasoned with several seasons like thyme or rosemary. The plantains weren?t too oily or mushy and thecob was broken into bite sized pieces. The only 2 complaints that I have is that there isn?t a location on the Illinois side andthat the portions were proportional, but it was so good I wanted more ????????. 10/10 Read more
It took me a lot to write this review. The food tasted nothing like Caribbean food. We got oxtail and jerk chicken. From the... customer service to the taste of the food was horrible! The oxtail sauce was watery and had zero taste! The jerk chicken was dryand Jerk sauce on the side instead of marinating the sauce with chicken. It?s the worst! Read more

The flavor is a great fusion of Jamaican and soul food. I've eaten multiple items from themenu and haven't been disappointed yet. My only complaint is the food is so good sometimes they run out of items on the menu.And it's not a dine-in location. Read more
