I visited the GastroPit for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. They have outdoor seating, but I chose to eat inside. The... restaurant is long and narrow with a windowed front, like many other strip mall businesses. Dark floor and ceiling with woodentabletops - a comfortable vibe. It was reasonably busy, but there was plenty of room at the bar, which is where I sat. The barseats about 8-10 people and has two TV's. One had sports on, and the other had the Discovery Channel on - which I appreciated. The bartender and other staff member who was helping were particularly nice. Gracious. They made me feel welcome. For lunch Ihad six double-cooked Wings (they're smoked and then lightly fried), and two barbequed shrimp tacos along with a Bud Select inthe bottle. The wings were some of the best I've had; succulent, cooked & seasoned perfectly...not a hint of dryness, but atiny bit of crispiness. With the wings, they offer a six different sauces on a condiment caddy: Sweet, Carolina, Memphis,Jalapeno something, Bianca, and "Dr. Pepper". The wings needed no sauce, but I tried them all anyway. All were tasty. Thetacos were also delicious. I'd order both of these items again. In short, this was an excellent experience. Very goodservice, excellent food, reasonably priced. I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves recognition. The atmosphere is humble but friendly. They make cocktails with... fresh squeezed juices and handmade syrups. The sauces are all homemade and the smoked meats were delectable. I would recommendthis place for food and service every time. Read more
So incredibly delicious! The place is super cute, food is amazing, and staff beyond friendly! It was a last minute decision to choose this BBQ spot. Not knowing what to expect we were a little anxious. The place is very... welcoming, clean and staff was very inviting. The waiter was very helpful and friendly with our order. There was a littlemistake on one of the meals, but we were informed and it wasn?t an issue for the meal. They actually added more meats to all ourorders for a simple mistake we didn?t have an issue with. I have to share, the ladies in the group thought the young waiter washandsome with his what looked to be first mustache. My niece left a love letter on a napkin, sister tossed her bra at him and Istill haven?t gotten a strait answer as to where the wife?s undies are!
