Everything about this restaurant is amazing! Artisinal, in-house ingredients combined into unique dishes that surprised and... excited my dinner time cravings. The service was top-notch. The owners were behind the counter and in the kitchen when Ivisited. It's easy to see they take pride in their establishment and their menu. I can't remember the last time I felt sowelcome at a restaurant. From the old-school vhs display to the inclusive and warm atmosphere, I would recommend thischarmingly quirky gem of St. Louis hospitality to tourists and locals alike. I just had the best omelette of my life. I could take or leave the coffee, but the food was delicious. And they were quick to... get it out to me, too. Everything there was fresh home cooking, with children's movies playing through a VCR and TV against thewall. I'm eager to try more from their fun, expansive menu. Update 2021: It's easy to pre-order online -- either for dine-in orcarry-out -- and the staff is very welcoming and masked properly. Such a great menu, it was difficult to decide! Charming and comfortable, family-friendly environment with a wide variety of vegan to meat choices of comfort foods -- even a... few surprises from the past. The owner and chef, a husband and wife team, proud of their Southside heritage, were welcoming andfriendly. We will be coming back, and recommend you add Gooseberries to your list too. The vegan food here is amazing! I was traveling from out of town and stopped in on my way home. I ordered the lentil burger,... donuts, and a pickle pizza per the owners request. Another cool thing they do is bring you fresh popcorn while you wait for yourfood which was unique. Ross was such a sweetheart, and checked on me throughout the meal, and kept bringing me goodies while Iwas eating. It was really late when I left, and he even walked me all the way to my car. The food was amazing and the servicewas outstanding. I will be back every time I?m in the St. Louis area!! Read more
