Food was decent enough. The menu should definitely be expanded. Service wasn't great however. We waited for our waitress to come... over initially and take our drink orders. When she finally did there was another delay. She finally came with the drinks andspilled one of the drinks on my other patrons Gucci bags(2x) she half hearted acknowledged it and never even tried to wipe offthe bags. It continues with her messing up one of the appetizer orders and then having to bring out the correct order after wealready ate. The manager was apologetic and comped the app but overall it was a disaster. Read more

Before I even got my food, I noticed that the place wasn’t the cleanest. The menus were laminated and worn, the table was a... little dirty. My napkin looked dusty and dirty and when I opened my napkin, I found a hair. Asked for another napkin and when Iopened that one there was a dirty fork. When I brought it to the attention of the person who brought out my food, they didn’tseem to be too concerned or apologetic, and brought another napkin/utensils for me. I looked at the reviews after my diningexperience and found a review from a previous worker who mentioned that they have a kitchen crawling with bugs and that none ofthe workers would eat there. As a person who also worked in food service, I’d strongly advise you find somewhere else to eatbecause this place doesn’t seem to practice good sanitation. I was completely disgusted with my experience. Read more

The serving staff were lovely and the drinks were good but that is where the compliments stop. Terribly small portion sizes.... Especially considering the false advertising photos they have in their menu. The rice was very dry as well. And considering howI ordered a sashimi plate and a side bowl of rice, it took over 20 minutes to receive my food with only one other table seatedin the restaurant. Very disappointing. Read more

I've loved takeout from Drunken Fish but, because I moved to STL shortly before the pandemic, I'd never dined in. I decided to... rectify that on a Sunday afternoon when I arrived in the CWE too late for brunch. Their miso is tasty but a small portion. Itcomes in a clever little covered bowl. I tried calamari for the first time. It comes not in rings, but sticks. I wasn't fond ofthe texture (very rubbery and too chicken-like for this pescatarian). I also got a handful of scalding hot oil when I bit intoone. And the sauce for the calamari was attracting fruit flies, which seem to be a problem at this restaurant. In April. ???? Igot them boxed up to be done with them. I ordered the vegetable roll and the kamikaze roll. The kamikaze roll was very tasty, with the honey-wasabi mayo I love from Drunken Fish. Someone appeared as the person waiting tables and I were discussing it, andsaid it's also got mirin in it, which is why it hasn't tasted quite the same when I try to make it at home. The vegetable rollwas nice. Kind of plain. Reminded me why I like rolls with fish, to bring interesting texture. The vegetable roll was helpedwith a dab of wasabi and a small piece of pickled ginger on top. (Yes, I know the ginger is there to cleanse the palate, andI'll continue to use it as I like, lol.) Service was great and the food was delicious. However, due to the fruit fly issue, Ilikely won't dine in again. Read more

Great restaurant with quality ingredients. They are open late, which was a huge bonus for our group. The service was quick and... the staff was friendly. One of the people in our group had a birthday and they made the cutest fried sushi dessert roll for her(eaten before I could snap a photo). Read more
