Reviews for China Wok Express in St. Louis, MO
Tried 3 times in the last 6 months. Done with this place. People go somewhere else to enjoy good quality chinese food. This... one - not so much! Food quality is just no there. Very unfriendly people. PS. Remember negative reviews do hold weight. They are tying to tell you something. Wish I would have read the reviews before. Read more

I've been going here for years, the food is always consistently good and the owners are as nice as they come. Never a problem.... Usually get it to go...the inside is....well....just get it to go. Read more
TASTES LIKE RUBBER,THREW WHOLE PLATE AWAY ??????????? The whole meal was over priced in my opinion. After taking a few bites I... was disappointed to say the least (even the egg roll tasted like rubber) I called them immediately asking for a refund theowner responded saying she would only give credit or remake order. So that?s kind of lame since the food was so inedible(plastic and synthetic tasting). Obviously I wouldn?t want more if it?s not good. - I think places like these stay open becausepeople from the surrounding area are used to eating low income trash and don?t know what real food should taste like. I willnot be ordering again. Cost : $13 Edit: added price Read more
Listen. People who review this place poorly largely don?t understand St. Louis chop suey culture. I?ve been coming here for 20... years, the food is good, and the owner is an extremely pleasant woman. You?ll always see her at the counter, taking orders witha smile. This place is still standing after other stores in that plaza (Sams, Payless, Kmart, etc) have closed over the years. It?s been able to remain because it?s genuinely one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Over the years I?ve recommendedthis place to friends/family and they?ve also been pleased. I wish more locals who frequented this place over the years couldchime in, these reviews do not accurately depict what this place is. The service is timely and pleasant. The food isconsistently good, and fairly priced. There?s also a nice 20+ year old public library next door that?s a great way to kill timeif you have to wait! I can?t believe this barely has 3 stars. Don?t let these reviews describing quite literally, anomalousexperiences deter you from trying this place. It?s absolutely worth it and a staple of Dogtown. Ps: Third-party deliveryservices cause a LOT of problems for both customers and small businesses. These services rob local restaurants blind (to thepoint some of them LOSE $ on some orders!) but restaurants know they can?t survive in this climate without them. So seriously,go at Grubhub and DoorDash about your inconveniences about wait times and money mixups, they count on you shouting at therestaurant staff instead them. Read more

I have never just thrown Chinese food out before. Everything was fried super dark and tasted like multiple items. Fried rice had... a hint of plastic and was nothing but rice. I had the cashew chicken and could not tell the difference between the carrots thecashews and sometimes the chicken but it all tasted kind of sour. I could go on, but at least I'm not sick. I hate leaving badreviews but I want to make sure I never go here again. Read more
Small takeout Chinese restaurant located right next to Concentra Urgent Care. If you dine in, you can clearly tell they try... really hard to keep the inside clean and maintained and the food menu easy to read and available. While it is not the best food,it is extremely cheap and generous with the portion. It doesn't have the greasiness of the usual Chinese takeout places, which Iprefer. Eat here if you're on a budget.
