As soon as you enter the space, it brings calm and joy - great use of pastel color, soft light and chandeliers, water color... drawings, paintings and flowers. Some restaurants bring to plate more than just the food, and it is one of them. Great indoorand outdoor space with relaxed atmosphere dining but a perfect place for a date night as well. Our server Lauren was pleasantwith a big smile and explained the menu very well. Has great selection of beverage including NA cocktails. Selection of Apps aswell as Entree is limited but very unique and earthy to taste. Little Gem, potato fritters came in good shareable size. Halibutwas very fresh and one of the best I have in STL. Has a great selection of liquors/desert/espresso to end your meal. Will comeback again- have heard good things about the breakfast and brunch!! Read more
Stopped in for dinner as they recently updated the menu. Great service and experience. Food was 4.5 as the appetizers fell a... little short of expectations, but desserts (all three) stole the show. Worth the experience and another great restaurant from GCraft and team. Read more
A delicious "hidden gem" just outside the main Central West End area. Dinner service on the garden patio was serene, scenic and... incredible from start to finish, with some truly unique dishes on the menu including vegetarian options. I went here for breakfast and there was a pretty decent crowd. This is a really lovely calming space. Big windows... fresh... flowers... in the same building as Bowoods nursery. I had the fried tofu sandwich which was pretty great. A nice peppermint tea. Read more
This is a GOOD restaurant in St. Louis. I enjoyed our meal tonight. The setting is casual and beautiful, you can dress up if you... like but you won’t be intimidated if you don’t. I like their weekly change prix fixe menu, I think it means they useseasonal ingredients and the chef is creative & playful. They cook EVERY ingredient to the perfect doneness. I like the saucethey created for every dish, just right to make the dish interesting but not overpower the main ingredients. The fish wasfantastic to me, normally Restaurants use filets but they choose to present it with whole fish; it was well seasoned and tender.This is the best trout I have in St. Louis. The desserts are good but I felt a bit heavy. I hope this restaurant can hold upthis quality after its expansion this summer. ???? please. Read more
Brunch was very good and quite filling. The seasonal coffee cake was delicious and the Benedict with the veggie patty was quite... good as well. I appreciated the attentive service and the ability to make customizations for menu items. I would absolutelyrecommend for brunch! Read more
What a great dining experience today at Bowood. The food is so inspired and the atmosphere makes it all taste even better. I... love breakfast food that is beyond ordinary. I came here for my anniversary hoping for a romantic evening. The decor is stunning, with half of the space looking like a... mysterious forest where I think they sell flowers and greenery. The other half is the restaurant in a monochrome, neutraldesign. Mostly white with black floors and beige accents. My girlfriend ordered a pomegranate margarita which she loved. Whenour food came it out, it was really hit or miss. Our honey nut squash was pretty undercooked. Same with the cauliflower. We werepretty disappointed… yet, they made it it up with the entrees. We got the chicken and steak. The meats were practicallyperfect, but again the potatoes were undercooked. We loved the sauces, the flavor profiles were masterfully put together by thechef.
