Great burger place. Boozy milkshakes, do I need to say more... Fresh made ice cream. Fun atmosphere, and superb service.

Incredible experience. Will absolutely be someplace I'll return to again and again. I showed up on a Wednesday evening, having... walked in the Botanical Garden till my phone died and then having bought a charger at the shop across the street. The host waskind enough to seat me where I could charge my phone, at the bar. The bartender, Terrance, gave me a big jug of water, whichafter hours of walking on an unseasonably warm day, was so needed. I ordered a mushroom & Swiss veggie burger, onion rings, anda Fitz's Diet Root Beer. I sat and enjoyed a book while my phone charged, loving the atmosphere of the open space. My veggieburger and onion rings came out, and I got a water refill. (It was around this time I noticed the glass next to the huge jug ofwater, but I didn't feel judged for swigging from the jug itself, lol.) The onion rings were so tasty, some sort of delicatebeer batter, maybe. And they were served with ranch. I asked for ketchup at that point, and by the time it came, had beenconverted to onion rings with ranch! The veggie burger itself was incredible--maybe a white bean burger, with something smoky inthe mix? Arugula and a soft bun, plus mushrooms and cheese... It was to die for. This review is getting really long but I justwant to shout out Baileys' for having *five gender-neutral bathroom stalls*--unprecedented and paradigm-shifting--and Terrancefor waiting on myself and another group while also bartending and taking care of everything behind the counter. The price wasbeyond reasonable. I can't wait to take my partner on a date here. I honestly can't stop thinking about that veggie burger! Read more

Sometimes a movie sequel doesn't measure up to the first one, but this Bailey's Range is every bit as good as the original. The... beef is tops and cooked correctly, and fries are so crispy! The ketchup is homemade ... real tomato flavor. Ice cream ishomemade too! The back area has a series of glass garage doors, so the interior is flooded with light; I bet they open them inthe fair weather for the breeze. And the staff were friendly and efficient. Top marks! Definitely recommend the Shaw location! It's beautiful and spacious with an outdoor feel, even inside. The food is always better... than I remembered! On this visit I opted for the Burger Battle contender Maui Burger. It was the best burger I have ever had!Every layer of toppings from the grilled onions or pineapple, the Korean BBQ sauce, beef and the cheese...MMM. Just go and getthat burger and their delicious fries. Read more

I was excited to visit this place and was hoping it would be a good experience, especially being within walking distance. The... first impression wasn't great - standing at the hostess stand and looking around for the hostess without seeing anyone.Eventually she came over and wasn't very friendly or helpful and communication wasn't great. Actually she was confusing. Afterwe got our table outside, there were a bunch of flies. I realize it's out of the restaurants control, but I don't rememberhaving this problem at other places when eating outside. Service wasn't great and felt absent. I am a polite and friendlyperson, especially to restaurant staff because I know how hard it is dealing with the public. However, I noticed that when thehostess came to bring us our water she wasn't very friendly. Also, I noticed that she was a lot more friendly to the table nextto us. I'm not sure if it was a culture thing or what (the hostess and the table next to us were the same race) but it botheredme. The appetizer came about 10 minutes after the main meal. And it wasn't a cheap appetizer. The food was pretty good. Theburgers was good and the fries were okay. The nachos appetizer was not very good. The shake sizes are a joke - the "small" isreally a kids size and the "large" is a normal size. I imagine there are a lot of disappointed customers with this. In terms ofpricing - I think the burger and fries cost is about average for this area. I think the shakes and appetizer price wasexorbitant. Conclusion - I won't be going back anytime soon. I had high hopes for this place, especially living in theneighborhood, but it wasn't a good experience. I left feeling regretful that I had spent so much on a place with bad service andalso an appetizer we threw away. Read more

Bailey?s Range is an oasis in St. Louis? desert of dry, over-cooked, gray beef. It?s the only city establishment (with the... exception of one steakhouse) that can cook a true medium-rare or even rare burger. I?ve tried them all. This is the only placethat will actually cook-to-order a burger where you can taste the quality of beef ? unless you want to travel out to the county. The homemade condiments are a welcome addition. The new location is beautiful. Service was great. Read more

I had heard great things about Baileys' Range, and have enjoyed the downtown location before, but I was left pretty disappointed... by the to-go order my partner and I had tonight. We each ordered a burger, shared an order of cheese curds, and each ordered ashake. First off, none of this has to do with the order being to-go. They actually did quite a nice job packaging the order andit was prepared on time. The burgers were pretty good. Cooked to order, and with all the correct toppings. We also know thatthey use local, grass fed beef which is a plus. The shakes, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. First, the $6.50 shakewas about the size of my child's sippy cup (see photo). It was a 9oz shake. I dunno. Maybe it's inflation, or I'm a bit miserly, but $6.50 feels like a lot for a 9oz shake. If I could've seen the sizes first, I would have passed. $1.50 of that was for acheesecake mix-in. I think I counted 4 half inch chunks of brownie (not cheesecake) in my shake. ???? The cheese curds werealso a let down. I would estimate about half of the order was just fried air. No cheese in the "curd" at all. The people ofWisconsin would riot if you served them these curds. I don't mind paying $9 for cheese curds, but I do expect cheese in most ofthem. All in all, this meal was a bit of a let down for $50. I will probably give them another shot because I had a goodexperience at the downtown location and the atmosphere of the new location looked pretty great, but I will probably steer clearof the expensive shakes and choose a different appetizer.
