We went for the chowder but they weren't serving it that day. Hello you're on the ocean you should have that everyday. We... ended up getting fish and chips. The fish was meh at best. The chips were cooked in grease that must have been a few daysold. They had a bad flavor. We also shared a serving of calamari which surprisingly was cooked wonderfully and was verytastefully presented. Our server was quite nice and fairly easy to wave down for refills and condiments and offered somesuggestions of local must sees. Read more
It wasn't bad but it definitely left a lot to be desired. We called the day before to make sure they were serving brunch. When... we showed up they took our drink order after about 20 minutes. I ordered an orange juice which had gone bad. I asked for areplacement but it wasn't any better. About 35 minutes later, the server came by to take our brunch order. We went to give ourorder the server told us that they weren't doing brunch. Had we known that when we first sat down we probably wouldn't havestayed. After telling us there wasn't brunch we looked at the menu again and waited another 20 minutes before the server came toget our order. About an hour and a half after arriving the food was brought out and the busser had no idea which plate waswhich and was calling them by names that were not on the menu which made it very confusing to sort out whose food was whose.While the burger I had had great sauce the bun was the cheap buns you could get at the grocery store and the fries were morelike mushy little nubs. I went back with my family to experience a meal on their patio and they didn't disappoint! Excellent service from our very... friendly host Natasha and a great meal prepared by Gavin Johnson. We had the fish & chips and calimari as a starter. The fishwas light and flakey and tasted like it just came out of the water. The calimari was cooked perfectly and the batter was verylight. Will return again! 2021 review: Excellent service with great tasting food. I had the southern fried chicken sandwichwith tomato, lettuce and pickle and a side of Ceasars salad, my daughter had the cheeseburger and poutine. Both were deliciouswith generous portions, great atmosphere too. Would have taken them up on the $5 glass of wine if the timing had allowed. Read more

The stars aligned when I booked a reservation here on Saturday night for my 30th birthday celebration. Our party of 7 was seated... in a gorgeous corner booth on the lounge side and got to listen to fantastic live music throughout our entire stay. We hadlovely food, drinks and made lots of memories! So grateful for the lovely staff who made sure we were looked after. Willdefinitely be back on another trip to town! Read more
Really great restaurant to check out downtown! The service was incredible, the food was even better!! We all ate something... different and everybody enjoyed their meals (and drinks) greatly! The flat bread is to die for and their fish and chips are alsostellar! We were there on a very busy hot day in the pedestrian mall, but service was still second to none. It was great to havesuch quality food and service while getting to enjoy outdoors!! Read more
The food has been wonderful the handful of times I have been to this restaurant. The menu ranges from local fare to standard... selections - and every meal has exceeded my expectations every time. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the atmosphereis relaxed and welcoming. I would highly recommend this establishment if you are in the area. (I have to amend this reviewwithin minutes of posting. A colleague who brought me to this restaurant couldn't help himself - he pointed out the localdialect is something that adds to the atmosphere. He is from the area, and listening to his banter with other locals truly is atreat.) ***Apparently you can't provide the same establishment with two reviews. *** Dinner was amazing on the second visit ofthe trip. The poutine with moose meat was incredible. This is the best restaurant I've found in NL / Labrador. Hands down. Read more
