This is the best cafe in downtown newfoundland. The ambience is spectacular; amazing live band, delicious pastries/sandwiches... and ice cold beers. The staff was amazing, super friendly attending to all our needs and wants. The servers Lily and alex wentabove and beyond to give us a whole-hearted experience that will be remebered for a life time. Love this place. 5 stars Read more

I was quite excited to eat here after reading such good reviews and seeing how popular it was. I wasn?t super hungry as I don?t... typically eat breakfast so I just ordered a grilled cheese. After ordering, it took about 30 mins for our full order to come outand by the time everything came out at the same time, our bagel and sandwich was cold while the grilled cheese (which shouldhave been the easiest thing to make) was hot. Kinda disappointed as the food wasn?t anything really special and quite expensivefor the amount of substance. Read more

We were out bicycling around St.Johns today, and stopped in the cafe for a drink and something to eat. We had tea , coffee, and... squares(date & brownies) . They were great. This is a great location located next to Battery Road. We sat outside on the patioand talk with some of the other happy patrons! Read more

I visited The Battery Cafe because their website said they always have gluten free options (just ask!) and I am gluten... intolorant. I had a delicious chicken and pesto sandwich on gluten free bread as well as a tasty latte. Ate outside on the patiowith a beautiful view of the Harbour. Would go back for sure! Read more

I had a delicious Lavender Americano Misto on recommendation by one of the lovely staff members. It went well with my Partridge... Berry White Chocolate Scone. This will definitely be a go to place when I visit St John's! Read more

I like the convenience of this cafe, which is within walking distance to the entrance of the North Head Trail, which is an... awesome trail that takes you around the cliff and up to Signal Hill. The cafe seems to be always busy, probably due to itslocation. It was quite busy on both times when I dropped by. Food and drinks are served reasonably fast. I enjoyed thecapuchino, rhubarb lemonade and sandwich/soup combos on both of my visits. Read more
