I stopped by Terre for afternoon after excellent reviews. They did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and plentiful,... atmosphere was fantastic and the view, despite the fog, was stellar. The experience was so amazing I had to go back for theirdinner service. We have the "Let the Kitchen cooking for you" experience and boy WHAT an experience. Plates upon plates of foodcame out from razor clams to sishito peppers, stuffed zucchini flowers to cucumber salad. I cannot recommend this menu enough. While I had to take the dessert to go, it was well worth the tight pants! Highly recommend if you have the time. Thank you! Read more

Located in the Alt Hotel, this place was interesting, a lot more upscale than we expected. The food was really tasty but it was... very loud, which made it difficult to hold a conversation. Service was fine. We started with the Basil Hayden Flight and somepotato bread (this was excellent). My partner had the roast lamb loin and I had the snow crab (cold), both of which weredelicious. Terre helped to make my aunt's retirement party a really special time for my family! We are grateful for Alexi, Belle, the... chefs, and the rest of the team for going above and beyond. We especially appreciated that they accommodated our request toenjoy the "let the chef cook for you" option at a quicker pace than they usually serve it so that we could squeeze it in beforeour toddler's bedtime. Each dish was absolutely fantastic and my family was still raving about it this morning. We especiallyloved the steamed turbot which was cooked to perfection and the snow crab toasts were out of this world. I highly recommendTerre! Read more
Incredible experience at afternoon tea! The food was very quickly served, the staff were incredible and provided us with a good... run down of the different food options. Portions were large (not a complaint given the dessert take away box we have). Wouldrecommend in a heartbeat! Read more
We were there for afternoon tea. Despite a small glitch with the food (our dietary restrictions were missed), they corrected it... immediately and then refused to charge us for the meal. Real class. The waitress was kind and respectful and kept coming back tocheck in with us regularly. Also, for anyone wondering: you can order a tin of Fussell’s with your afternoon tea, as theafternoon tea only comes with butter. However, the selection was generous, so you’ll probably be packing a takeaway box. Willgo back! Read more
Terre was hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been too! We chose the “chef cook for you” option. Every plate... we got had such unique and amazing flavours. They were extremely accommodating to my food intolerance and made it a one of akind experience. We will be recommending this restaurant to everyone!! Make sure you show up hungry. Read more
Normally I enjoy the Cafe - they used to have an array of delicious sandwiches - most hot - of which you can’t find so easily... around town. But today they didn’t have their menu of sandwiches listed anywhere so the staff had to list them off. I likedseeing the menu posted so I could take a look and see exactly what I’m getting without holding the line up. There were only 3different kinds - they used to have several different kinds to choose from. No prices listed anywhere either (because of theabsence of their menu). I got what ended up being a pretty basic cold sandwich that was pre-made and two pains au chocolat whichcame to $30. (No drink either). The sandwich was roast beef on two small pieces of bread with a sauce, lettuce and your standardpickled banana peppers. I know there’s inflation etc but this seemed excessive. I don’t mind paying more at places likethese in order to support local but what I received was not worth that $. Read more
