A little noisy, and tables were a little cramped, but the food and staff are always a pleasure.
My husband and I went to your Torbay Road location, can not say enough about the food, it was amazing as usual. We were seated... almost immediately, bought menus and water just as quickly, and our server was beyond awesome! It wasn't busy at all when we arrived. One other table and us to be exact and we still ended up waiting to order because a... staff conversation seemed to be more pressing! Once we ordered the 2pc fish and chips, 1 PC fish and chips and the 3 PC chickenand chips, it took 20 minutes for the chicken to be freshly cooked! It smelled and tasted great. My Aunt required some hot waterin her tea pot so again that staff huddle was an issue.. I kept looking towards them until finally the cook came from thekitchen and noticed my glance. In one thought, "sub-par". After reading many reviews for places listed as "best & chips", along with reviews for all of the... Ches's locations, we decided on this location. Not the best choice, but consumable. Fish was okay, but grease... Fries andgravy, agian okay... In closing the place sure could use a good scrubbing. Wait staff was the highlight. I had Ches?s fish and chips before. I know it?s good. But every time I eat here, I still feel amazed by its freshness. And I... wish I can start eating all over again. The dressing and gravy is so delicious. The fries are just right. The fish isabsolutely fresh and delicious. I?ll keep going back. Yummy. 5 stars. Read more
