Reviews for Starbucks in St. Catharines, ON
I was seeking for a coffee shop near by my kid?s tutoring class and would say that I had a wonderful experience! We arrived... around 6:30 pm on a Wednesday, no line up and the lady at the counter was lovely, smiling and engaged to provide a good service.I think it?s all depends on timing. No complaints on my end. Read more
horrid, disappointing service. multiple times i have considered going, saw who was working the counter and knew my wait would be... over an hour even though there were only 5-10 people in line. i have tried to be patient but the blatant disrespect of student?stime is abhorrent. the staff move like molasses and go to restock or take breaks at the absolute worst times, when theres lineups around the wall. the only reason i put up with the wait is because this is the only location on campus i can use gift cards, and if i had any other option i would never step foot here again. if there was an option to give zero stars i would. actuallyno, id give this location -5/5 Read more
Absolutely horrid, why in gods name am I waiting an whole hour for an iced coffee ??? What's the point of having five people... behind the counter if nobody's taking orders. Selena (if that's her name) is so slow. Why does nobody at this Starbucks have awill to live. They randomly start doing mobile orders while there's a line halfway through market and it makes no sense. Peopleare walking out and I get why .. because we pay so much money to go here in the first place only to wait over half an hour eachtime I make the mistake of going here. I can guarantee you that I regret coming here every time I do. We've all tried to beunderstanding but it's just disrespectful at this point. There have been countless times where people leave to go restock andabandon their lone coworker to handle almost 30 people in line plus the mobile orders ?? How does that make sense ? Lord havemercy this location is so overwhelmed that we have people leaving the register to help make drinks and the crowd of peoplewaiting still doesn't dissipate. I'm truly baffled. I could walk behind the counter and pump out orders faster than this. I'mnot upset with the workers, more the scheduling of this place ? Whoever is putting two workers on at noon is the same personthat thinks a single square of toilet paper will do the job. I'm beyond irritated. Everyone I know has the exact same problem.Y'all got me begging n pleading. Read more
Horrible. Some workers only work on the online orders and don?t attend to the people actually waiting in line. I waited over 50... minutes in line and the only time we moved was when people left the line because they weren?t serving us. And no the line wasnot overly long. There was about 10 people ahead of myself. The staff also just leaves to go ?restock? during the times whenit?s the busiest and don?t actually need restocking yet. This is ridiculous. You need to schedule more people to work at once orreevaluate your current workers. Some of their attitudes and the way they present themselves is very unfriendly and unwelcoming. It?s understandable that it?s not the best job in the world but you need to do better. I would give 0 stars if I was able toleave a review with none. Read more
Eric is the best barista I?ve ever seen. He deserves a raise
Understaffed. Grotesque waiting times.
As a Starbucks barista, I am aware this location is just a licensed store, which means the employees are not employed by... Starbucks. However, that doesn't mean they shouldn't be expected to follow Starbucks' guidelines. I waited 25 minutes for astrawberry coconut drink that I ordered online ahead of time. There is no excuse for this kind of wait time when there is noline in the store. While I stood at the counter, I watched the person making drinks not shake the shaker while makingrefreshers, not sanitize the steam wand between making drinks, not rinse out the milk steaming container between drinks, and notputting inclusions in the strawberry coconut drink. I also watched her put 5 pumps of vanilla syrup in a grande caramelmacchiato when there is suppose to be 3 (grande usually gets 4 but it is decreased by 1 pump for this drink only). I watched herpour the espresso and mix it with the milk before putting ice in the cup for the macchiato. This makes it a latte, not amacchiato. The staff are not friendly and move extremely slowly. Lastly, and most importantly, I watched a barista put her handinside my cup to write my name on the cup. THIS IS A HUGE HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE! Please, train your employees better. Brockstudents deserve to receive Starbucks-quality service. Read more
