The fish soup was delightful but the salad was past its prime.
Came across this place as we were driving by. Dog friendly patio which was nice but the service could be better. We had to wait... a while to be seated and were not greeted by anyone nor talked to for 5-10 minutes which didn't seem right. However, once we satdown the rest was pretty smooth. My boyfriend and I both got the ham eggs benedict and it was sooo good! The hollandaise wasperfect and the ham was think and delicious! The food also came with lots of side fruits which was nice and a side of toast withbutter which we didn't expect! I believe that the meal also came with a free drink. I booked an Airbnb at Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies and there is no place to get food around within walking distance so I decided to... have a super early dinner at Saint-Jean-Por-Joli. I went to this restaurant and the staff was super friendly. She let me took mybike on the porch since it was raining. I ordered canard confit, it?s a bit dry but the salad was very fresh. The food was just okay, nothing special, while the prices seemed to suggest otherwise. We were in a bit of a rush at lunchtime,... but there were 3 servers and the place wasn't full, so we thought it wouldn't be an issue. Except it was. We stood waiting atthe sign asking us to wait to be seated for at least 5 minutes. We said Bonjour and smiled at 2 waitresses, one of whom was juststanding around sipping water. Maybe seating people isn't her job, but she could have said to us that someone would be with usshortly or to seat ourselves at a clean table. We were finally seated and given menus but it took forever to have someone takeour order. We stared down each staff member who passed by but they didn't even look in our direction.
