Reviews for Barbacoa in Spruce Grove, AB
I don\'t know why I do this, but I do. I read the negative reviews first. What I need to start doing is read the newest ratings... first. Lesson learned with this restaurant. It sounds like there were a few issues with (high) pricing when they first opened.I\'m glad to say that is no longer the case (see the last paragraph).\n\nWow! Four of us went for lunch here and it exceeded allour expectations.\n\nI had the blue cheese burger, but ordered the BBQ sauce and the garlic aioli on the side as I thought itmay be too runny with that much sauce. I\'m pretty sure I was right, and this way I was able to get more of the beefflavour--which was really tasty and spiced just right.\n\nThat\'s not to say you should forgo the those sauces. I tried some ona few bites of my burger and have to say I would pay extra for the BBQ sauce. They could bottle this and sell it!\n\nAs a side Iordered the seasonal veggies. I wasn\'t expecting much but was totally surprised to find out how good they were. They were charbroiled and smoked. I can easily say I\'ve never had simple green beans this good before.\n\nThe food is obviously made withhigh quality ingredients and the passion for the product shows.\n\nThe portions were more than generous (with two of mine diningcompanions taking leftovers home).\n\nThe service was exceptional. Our waitress was efficient without being intrusive and veryknowledgeable about the menu.\n\nI was recommending this restaurant to a friend, but warned her it was pricey. She pointed outthat their prices don\'t seem higher than Moxie\'s or Earl\'s. Sure enough, I researched it, and in some cases items onBarbacoa\'s menu are a buck or 50 cents more. A small price to pay for such great food. Read more
Phenomenal. Came with a girlfriend and sat at the bar for hours, as several rounds of tables came and went, all leaving looking... satisfied. We shared several delicious appetizers and many of the cocktails from the menu- all of which were fantastic. Everymeal coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. The restaurant itself has a rustic meets industrial charm, and servesas an inviting space to truly enjoy the menu and atmosphere. 10/10 will be back. Read more
Excited to try this eatery, even more so to see their fabulous grill. Very meat centred and bacon forward for you carnivores.... It’s well worth the journey from Edmonton and lunch is a quieter time to test the place out. The corn- bacon chowder was quiteamazing and a must have along with the Wagu carpaccio, yummy! The pulled pork was average but I loved the inclusion of the slawin the sandwich. Can’t wait to try dinner here but I’ll have to sell my first born to afford that! Read more
This place is such a \"hidden\" gem. It is in the most random spot and so worth the stop. Maybe it used to be hidden but the... place is busy. The kitchen seems to run so smoothly, the servers are great and approachable. The food is top notch. Every singlething we ordered was amazing. Go with a large group (make a reservation) and try more things at one time. So so good. Read more
