Reviews for Ponderosa Lodge in Springville, CA
We had a lovely stay at the Ponderosa Lodge a few weeks ago. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The food and drink at... the tavern was delicious and good value. Standouts were the fish tacos, the blueberry pancakes, and the mason jar Margaritasmade by Story. Really friendly and interesting folks working here too - we had some great conversations, and we were made tofeel very welcome while we were there. Thank you for a great stay. Read more
Prices were very high but in a seasonal business I guess one would expect so!! The view was wonderful! Service was friendly but... had to wait for them to get done telling stories before I could be waited on! We happened here because we were lost and when Iasked for help was shown sign of Wi-Fi info! We're out of alot of things but all-in-all the friendliness meant most to me! Ohyeah, don't order french fries if you don't like oregano on them!! Read more
Omg! That place is a masterpiece in the middle of nowhere. Best burger I ever had, live country music, billiard, ????, cool... people around! Fair prices and a really cozy outdoor and indoor restaurant! Love it. Strongly recommend! Read more
Perfect little mountaintop stop for lunch. Patio shaded by Aspens and cooled by the breeze. Good food and attentive service. To... extend the experience, take the short drive over to the pond, sit and let your meal settle. Beautiful spot! Read more
Just a great little spot in the middle of the forest, with delicious food, great drinks, friendly staff, entertainment, a... general store, a few rooms, and a variety of locals and tourists to keep it interesting. The town of Ponderosa is tiny, withsome locals that stay year-round, and others that rent out their homes. The Lodge is the central meeting point and nexus forall things, with a great staff that knows the area. The food is outstanding for a large city restaurant, so it's even moreimpressive to find it in the midst of the Sequioa National Forest. The store sells a small variety of food/drink/ necessities, and many decorative and handmade items, including art, home decor, glassware, and myriad other items. Didn't see the rooms forrent, but I imagine they're on par with the rest of the place. If you're staying in the area, or just passing through, makesure you stop here. You won't regret it for a second. Read more
Stopped by today with the kid and all I can say was the food was delicious!! I had the pastrami sandwich yum! Fries were great!... They even had capri Sun for the kid to drink which I thought was cool. Great customer service and a great atmosphere with someof the locals. They even started a fire in fireplace for us which the kid enjoyed. Everyone was really nice. I would definitelyrecommend staying or stopping by here. Read more
This place is a little slice heaven in Sequoia National Monument. We stayed here for two nights and everything was perfect: the... room, the food, the service, and especially the people. You will meet an incredible diversity of people here, all of whom arekind, generous, and just down right fun to talk to. We were able to experience a unique and local experience exploring thesurrounding forests and creeks all thanks to the very informative natives, making it a highlight in what was a ten day road tripacross the country. We cannot wait to come back! Read more
Had a wonderful time here. We had to cut our time short unfortunately due to a major oncoming storm. But the Aspen room was so... cozy and comfortable. Great shower! The interior design is lovely. Good food: the fries are excellent! The shop aesthetic isunique and calming. Jen, I bought that big macrame by the coffee maker! Good folks, warm fireplace, and a couple friendly dogsmake this place feel like home. Give Siglets and Sherpa a couple pets from us. We'll be returning! Read more
