We had brunch and it was fabulous. I had the Hash which was themed hot chicken today. It?s different each Sunday. It was... amazing and just as good for leftovers for dinner. Everything was fresh. Drinks were great, too. Service was great. Alexiswas our waitress and she was very personable and helped us with the menu. I?m going back. I?ve been several times. Lovetheir salads and pretzels and pimento with local bread for appetizers. It?s a small town place with locals vibe. So happy tohave them in Springfield. Read more
Went for Mother's Day. Filet mignon and burger were cooked more than requested, but they were still good. My 16 year old... daughter that doesn't like french toast usually, but she loved the tiramisu french toast. My grits needed a little moreseasoning. The side salads are generous and yummy. Quiet cozy little spot in the middle of downtown Springfield. I had the pimento cheese smothered chicken with mashed potatoes... and a house salad with the bacon vinaigrette dressing. The salad was something different, it was really good, however I think Ishould have went with the lemon vinaigrette. My entree was delicious, I was never a fan of pimento cheese growing up so I was alittle skeptical ordering it. It came recommended from the waiter as he explained the pimento cheese is made in house so I wentfor it, and glad I did. My fiance had the lemon thyme chicken that was also excellent. Overall it was an excellent experienceand I can't wait to visit again. The only thing I would ask to change next time is the "fresh greens" as a side. We had a group of 11 old skydiving friends from four states meeting for dinner and drinks. We called at 3:15p, and with short... notice the staff quickly reserved us a table for 4:15p. Due to fire code, they could not seat all 11 of us at the same table.Four of us ate at the bar and eight of us ate at the table. The popular menu items for our group were bangers and mash,shepherd's pie, baked spaghetti, and fish and chips. Every dish was prepared and presented to perfection. Kelly was on top ofthings. We didn't have to wait on food, drinks, or leftover boxes despite Kelly being the only waitress/bartender on the floor.Other than being out of Miller lite, the bar was fully stocked for our group drinking primarily wine and beer. Following dinner,the atmosphere lended to our being able to stand around the bar, drink, catch up, and reminisce; a local patron even sweetlyvolunteered to get our group photo!
