The Washburne was a great spot for a morning coffee and treat. They offer full plate meals (breakfast and lunch), and if the... smiles on the patrons' faces were any indication, the food is tasty. My breakfast treat was tasty. There was a pleasantbackground taste of banana to complement the chocolate chips. It was too cookie to be a sweet bread, yet too substantial to bejust a cookie. They offer table seating, bar seating, and a living room- like area. I experienced it as comfy despite thebustling energy of their mid-morning crowd. I will be back! Read more

Food and coffee were excellent. Nice place. But good lord, was it smoky inside. I peeked back into the kitchen and saw no hood... system over the ovens, stove, or flat top. Im sure ventilation is acceptable in the summer time, but it was cold today and ismell like I've been standing by a deep fryer. Literally everything else was great. I hope ventilation upgrades are in theworks. Read more

So yes i gave 3 stars but hear me out. This place is great. Coffee awesome, food really good. The killer for me though is the... wait and the flies. For how busy this place is you think they would have more than one person making drinks. I appreciate thatthe food is made fresh but half an hour for a breakfast sandwich makes you wonder if they are taking too much on for theirkitchen size. And again out of all the times I've been there it seems like the amount of flies is overwhelming for a cafe.Amazing potential for this location, they should consider upsizing their equipment for what they are trying to offer. And one ortwo more of the blue light bug catchers near the doors. Please give this place a try but only if you're not in a hurry. Read more

Really nice coffee shop and Cafe with indoor and outdoor/sidewalk seating. Excellent coffee!! Some of the best coffee drinks... I've encountered in the Eugene/Springfield area. Quite a few breakfast and lunch items on the menu, as well as, some nicelooking sweet and or savory pastries. Great baristas offering fast and friendly service. Read more

Their espresso drinks are a delight, the atmosphere is cozy and bright, with a variety of great seating options. Staff were... kind, attentive to restocking and cleaning the entire FOH, and had friendly conversations with me. I had the washburne breakfastsandwich on a biscuit, and it was fluffy, fresh, and you could tell a lot of attention went into the flavors and cooking of thepork. I'm excited to be coming back again and again! Read more

The Washburne breakfast sandwich was pretty darned great. The tender, but still crisped at the edges, pork belly was luscious.... The egg was beautifully done, and dripping yolk. Made a it a little difficult to eat with just hands; but, that's just part ofhaving egg in your sandwich. The flavors were fantastic, and I would recommend that sandwich to anyone. I also tried thechicken and waffle. The chicken was tender and juicy. The breading on the chicken was amazingly crisp. The only real criticismis that it could use a little more seasoning. Normally restaurants tend to over-season and over-salt breading. This is the onlybreading that I can say I have encountered that could actually use more salt. A light spray of soy sauce really zinged it up anotch. Beyond the slightly bland breading the rest was fantastic and the counter service was amazing. Read more
