Last time we came the dining room wasn't open. This time the dining room was open; be prepared to order at the kiosk. Everything... has been streamlined for reduced staff. Food was fresh. This location could handle a good deep cleaning. Floors were noticeablydirty as was the walls, with visible greasy hand prints and such. I get it, I've been in food service. A hour a day on walls,floors, tables and undersides thereof and the cleanliness issue is addressed. Read more
Came during lunch rush, and still received my order in a timely manner. Manager running drive thru sounded genuinely friendly,... and the cook that gave me my food was attentive and welcoming. Great place Read more
I'm not liking the no waitresses, self serve, styrofoam/paper straw stuff at all! We ordered two of their under $5 meals but... only got fries for one of the meals and they didn't put any cheese on the plain CHEESEburger so we basically stopped eatingSteak n Shake. Read more
OK, gotta start off by saying that this place is my favorite burger joint. I live in Omaha and we do not have Steak n Shake... here, so when I travel if there is one in the area I try to hit it. I'm 58, so eating here is kind of a step back to simplertimes. I was in Ohio last week and had opportunity to stop for lunch. Double steak burger combo and a chocolate shake is all Ineeded and boy was it good! Their Taco salad is also a great choice when you don't feel like a burger. This place is not likeMcDonald's. You will wait for your food and it does cost a bit more. My thought is.... You get what you pay for! I highlyrecommend it! Read more
Burger and Shake was good ! Customer Service terrible I was under the impression of my meal being a certain price but when I got... to the window I was misquoted because I wasn't given my price of the meal prior to pulling up to the window. The cashier justwas nasty all the way around about the matter. I paid $12 for a burger & shake with no fries absolutely not worth the price!Probably will no longer consider S&S for my late night craving especially without a coupon. This Steak-N-Shake was amazing. I was with the television crew that was filming in Springfield and I needed a late night meal... for around 50 people and this location could not have been more helpful. I called early and they helped me work through thebest options for our specific needs. The food was ready when we needed it, packaged perfectly, and was a HUGE hit with ourcrew. Ordered online for curbside pickup. Arrived and called the number twice with nobody picking it up. Went inside and found my... order sitting there. Grabbed it, food was cold and shake was melted. They were not busy, just lazy. I use to love steak ?n shakebut don?t know if I will ever eat at one again. The Springfield franchise is a disgrace. Read more
I used to love steak and shake actually never minded the wait because they've always been slow. I went for the first time today... in a couple years to the Springfield location. The cook was super friendly and helpful because I'm not used to using a kioskmachine to order. The manager was rude when I said something about the bathroom being disgusting. When bringing it up I tried tomake it sound like a joke but she was clearly annoyed to the fact that they needed attention. Food I ordered was good as Iexpected and it was on a timely manner. With all being said I will never go back again. Any company who gets rid of theirwaiters and waitresses to replace them by kiosk machines will never have my business....
