Food was pretty good. There were a couple menu items that weren't spectacular but they weren't bad. The staff was friendly and... did a good job, even though they seemed a little short staffed. The restaurant has a lot of colored LED lights and light stripsthat pulse and flash and its hard on the eyes. Strips of adhesive backed lights along the corners of the restaurant look cheap. We can usually forgive design choices in favor or good food but these lights gave some of our party members a headache. Thismight have also been compounded by the smell of the sanitizing solution the staff was wiping tables down with. It wasoverwhelming, seemed like it should have been diluted a little more. We'll try it again, the sushi was very tasty. Read more

Extremely poor customer service, extremely under staffed! We were excited to try this new sushi restaurant but weren't prepared... to wait almost an hour for our order that never came. Witnessed at least 2 other parties (4 people or more) seated just beforeus eat and leave before we decided to leave. We were a party of 2, received our drinks shortly after arriving while placing ourorder. 20 minutes later we asked about our salads and was told it was being prepared by the sushi chef. 15 minutes later wereceived our seaweed and octopus salad, something that was obviously prepared in advance and only required to be plated andserved. During this entire wait, our server did not check on us or let us knew why the delay was so long. After watching theguests that were seated right before us leave, as well as watching tables seated after receive their food, we spoke to themanager who didn't seem to care that we had been waiting for about an hour for 2 sushi rolls. She cashed us out for our saladsand drinks. I can speak from experience that when I was a manager of a restaurant, this would have been unacceptable. I wouldhave done whatever necessary to make this right. They simply didn't care and we will be spending our money elsewhere. Read more

We had a great experience at Niji Sushi Bar & Grill, our waitress was so sweet also. Kaya went above and beyond our expectations... as a waitress, very observant to our needs, very courteous and friendly. The food was amazingly good! Our appetizer (monkeyball) was excellent, hot melted in your mouth. The salad was fresh. The sushi was just right, the rice was soft, very freshfish, the plating was nice, the flavors completely made it! We had the Spicey Tuna, Mango Tango and King Kong, I would recommendeither of them! Then we had a Miso Ramen Bowl, it came out steaming, everything in it was cooked just right, right down to thecenter of the egg. Great place to eat! Great waitress, perfect experience! Thank you! Best tasting and best presentation of pineapple fried rice in town! ???? ???? Their ramen is delicious too, rivals Omo and... Karai. They have alot of options and a nice bar, can't wait to go back and try something else! Read more

I am writing this review of Niji out of disappointment and frustration with this food establishment. For those who do not... necessarily want to read the entirety of this review, the shortened version is as followed: the company is at this pointrefusing to refund me (when it was promised-- the WHOLE bill) for our meal after 4-5 weeks with several phone calls, we had tothrow out our food and could not finish because it was so bad, and overall poor presentation/meal/customer service for a ?finedining? establishment. Below this will be elaborated. My fiance and I decided to try Nji for takeout on April 24th after ourfavorite ramen shops were either closed or had a long wait. The online menu looked promising, and we ordered two bowls of ramenas well as a roll of sushi. Pickup was fine, but the disappointment for the meal started when we got home. First, how the foodcame. Our noodles, vegetables, and meat came in a 3-compartment styrofoam container, which was cold. I first thought we pickedup someone else?s order, as this looked more like a stir fry than ramen. The broth came in a small plastic container, whichmeant that we HAD to pull out our own dishware to eat our food. For reference, EVERY other place we have ordered ramen, the foodcomes in a large plastic bowl to-go container where you can mix everything together. Again, the food was cold and we had to warmit up. Second, the contents of the ramen. Our ramen came with corn, peas, and green beans- the latter two I have never seen inramen. My ramen, the spicy tan tan, came with ground pork. Attached is a picture (I wish I took more)-- there were maybe 3-4pieces of this, maybe 1 oz of meat. Prices are increasing, but if an establishment is charging 13+ for ramen, more than 1 ozshould be expected. The pork honestly tasted like hamburger helper and was so dry that, again, we had to throw it out. My fianceordered the miso ramen- Maruchan ramen has more flavor than Niji?s. My fiance had to add miso flavoring Read more

Friday first for us. First the place was really clean and colorful with comfortable seating creating a very enjoyable... atmosphere. Our server was super friendly however he was not knowledge on everything with the menu. We ordered the NIJI Peachcocktail and Plum Wine The Plum wine was deliciously sweet and the Niji Peach was good but I would have like it too be a littlepeachier For starters we ordered the Agedashi Tofu and fried Gyoza. The tofu was really good reminder me if Springfield Cashewchicken mainly because of the brown sauce and onion. The gyoza was good and served with a teriyaki sauce. Teriyaki sauce wasgood but it was really cold I prefer it to be room temperature or warm. SPF Fried roll w/ spicey crab, Volcano Roll and SMSroll. Each one was delicious. The Chicken Ramen and Hibachi Steak we're both served hot. Both had good flavor but and wouldenjoy eating either one again both served with Miso soup and salad. We definitely will go back again and would recommend thisplace to anyone. Read more
