Went there pretty early for the dinner service and was seated and everything seemed to be okay but my boyfriend and I both were... both extremely disappointed in all the food that was on the buffet and the hibachi grill. First thing was all the food was coldand most of it was overcooked. The potato's we're undercooked and all of the American style food was bland and again cold. Wesat and tried to eat the food and the seafood was all frozen and tasted off. The sushi was decent but it was all timed from thelunch service and no one was even available to make any new. The hibachi was underwhelming and the cook didn't do anything rightwhen making the food. He didn't even oil the top so the food wouldn't stick. The service itself was horrible. I felt like theywere all angry for some reason and directing it at the customers. No one seemed to care about the customers and aside fromsnatching plates only one lady asked if we needed more to drink and not even in a friendly way. I really can't believe I have toleave such a bad review especially since just a few years ago it was amazing. Now the restaurant looks horrible and the food isF quality especially since we spent almost $40 for two people to sit and eat food that has us both sick and on the border offeeling like food poisoning.Would not recommend this place now for anyone. Should have refused to pay after the first plate.Also they need hair nets because there was some dishes I later saw hair in the visibly saw hair in. Read more
Food was good, even if it was about an hour before close time on a saturday, they still have plenty of selections available.... Service was good as usual. Unfortunately I ended up having soy sauce all over my hand and food as the bottle had a broken lid,bigger concern was that the plate had a hole on it and chips were coming off. This was brought up to the attention of thewaitress and she just put the broken bottle back in the table to be used again. The dish should have been passed away butinstead just sent to be washed. The grill is good. It's not worth going for crab legs. They don't keep the Buffet stocked. My kids love the sushi. The wait... staff is always friendly and accommodating. Read more
We were on our way to Leongs but decided to stop here. What a mistake. The food was pretty bad. We kept going to the buffet... trying different foods but it was no use. It all looked old, gray, some tasteless, some with a peculiar taste. I actually had to spit out the fried dumpling in a napkin. The only tasty thing I found to fill up on was the Chinese donuts. We tried to tellthe cashier how disappointed we were but she said “it’s because we are so busy”. We kinda had a heads up when we pulledinto the parking lot & the exterior was not well maintained. For a second they looked like they were closed down. We weretelling each other they were putting that money into the food & staff. No they weren’t because beside the food being so bad, Isaw kitchen staff bring food out & let’s just say they do not have a dress code or requirements for adequate grooming. The restaurant only had one server and at the same time she was the host!!! She was extremely attentive to everyone and very... kind. Not only was there a massive variety but it was delicious as well. We have found the Buffett in town that is the verybest! Read more
The food all looks really great... It's not. The hibachi is worth eating but that is about it. The chicken on a stick seemed raw... and everything else seemed at least a day old. I probably won't be returning but if you're willing to take the risk and to tryfor fresh food I'd say go for it! Read more
Mikado has returned to it's former glory! The largest, most delicious buffet in Springfield. For the price, you cannot beat a... dinner at Mikado. The staff is hard working and the food is delicious. They offer fresh cooked hibachi and sushi with lots ofchicken, seafood, and fresh fruit and vegetables. I am very happy to see the improvements and small changes. Very happy to havea buffet the whole family enjoys! I recommend the salt and pepper shrimp, coconut shrimp, black pepper chicken, and espressocake. Decided to eat dinner here Friday night. Bad decision!!! The place was pretty quiet, a few other customers but not busy. We... were sat within a few minutes and headed to the buffet. Lots of food options, however when we sat down to eat we realized thefood was Luke warm at best. The "fried" rice was not done, the white rice was over done and so old it was hard. The dessertsection was a joke. They had cheese puff balls and popcorn in the dessert section, offering them as an actual dessert!!! Willnever go back again.
