We are in town for the weekend staying at The University Plaza Hotel. We found this little beauty. After confirming a 730... reservation for 3, we walked over to the restaurant. They serve local craft beer which was good. We ordered the chickenParmesan, Cesar salad, the house special ravioli, and the meatball appetizer. Everything was delicious. Service was great. Visited Gilardi's for a dinner with an organization that I work with. The restaurant had a great setup for our group in a larger... room. Our server was great, and took very good care of our while group. Dinner was family style, with large dishes being placedon the tables to serce ourselves from. The Cesar salad, three entrees, and dessert were all excellent. Gilardi's staff wentabove and beyond for our event, and we had a great time. Read more
I made reservations for our anniversary dinner. Due to work related reasons, we were unable to arrive until close to half an... hour later than our reservation. The owner most graciously held our reservation despite us being so late. He even allowed me toorder flowers and have them sent to the restaurant ahead of time and placed on our table. The food was delicious, and theatmosphere made our anniversary very special. Would definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant to anyone looking for aromantic dinner. Read more
The wine selection was great, I had a white wine selected by the waitress and it was delicious. The only reason that I give this... restaurant a 3 star is because of waiting time, I was there for probably more than 1 hour in a half. First off, I love that the place looks like an old horse stable or something. The prices here are not olive garden prices, but... neither is the quality. The food was fantastic. I had the seafood pasta, which was phenomenal. Pasta, with a full lobsterclaw, some kind of seafood sauce, and a half dozen or so shrimp. The portion size was exceptional. There's nothing worse thanleaving a restaurant hungry. You won't get that here. The service was good. I wouldn't say it was outstanding, but it wasacceptable and adequate. All in all, it's a great place for a date, or a special occasion, but the prices do make it a bit outof range for a regular meal. Read more
