Ok, maybe this place doesn't really deserve 5 stars, but the pizza and calzones are definitely 5-star worthy. I love the sauce... and crust. Really the best pizza around, in my opinion, except maybe Capri in Holyoke. Pizzas are big - a medium is like largeanywhere else. A large gets you two pizzas. Calzones are also big and delicious. Not a huge fan of their grinders - they aren'tbad, but the bread just isn't amazing. Salads are a bit underwhelming. I haven't tried any of their pasta or entree-typedishes. Employees are great; the sort of people that learn your name and greet you with it if you eat there a lot. The ambianceis a bit lacking. Pre-covid they had a bunch of tables and a TV that mostly plays sports. Now (2022) there aren't really tables,although the TV is still there, so it's pretty much just a takeout spot now. Delivery is super fast too, although I live likehalf a mile away, so maybe that's why. I also like that they're using the Slice app now for online ordering, which is superconvenient. I?ve been to Frankie and Johnnie?s for a couple years and they?ve never let me down, their pizza is amazing and their grinders... too, they?re great for ice cream too if you?re into that sort of thing. I wish they served slushees too but that?salright. Honestly if your in the area and are hankering for a steak and cheese grinder, this is the place. This is the best grinder spot in Western Mass in my opinion. Really fairly priced and the people that work there are great.... Always recommend to my friends when they are nearby and looking for some takeout. Read more
