Hadn't been there in years, and my son and I we're out running around. Thought we could go there for some good food for lunch on... Saturday December 3rd. Got there at noon, they had been open for an hour. Walked in, there was nobody in there customer wise oremployee wise anyway. Heard people in the back talking and laughing. My son and I stood there for almost 5 minutes, even talkingloudly, and NOBODY came out to see or check on anything at all. So I told my son we were leaving. As we walked out, a girllooked out the side door of the building, saw us, and smiled. Did not say 1 word at all! I laughed and said "that'sridiculous.". Again she said nothing, just smiled and shut the door. Pitty because this place used to be great. Can't even getemployees to do what they are hired for. Literally wasn't 1 customer in the place. I guess I could see why. Will not be back.Sucks because this place is a springfield staple. Read more
We ordered the bacon and cheddar stuffed burger with more bacon and cheddar on top. I honestly have never had a better burger... anywhere! It was cooked to perfection and the flavor was phenomenal. Read more

We tried another restaurant tonight and it was an hour wait, so we found this gem on Google reviews. We?re so glad we did! Our... family of 5 (3 kids under 13) all enjoyed this place and the staff was super friendly. Clean bathrooms, great service, and thefood was amazing! Seriously, everyone really enjoyed what they got and we were all trying each other?s orders. Would highlyrecommend!! Read more

The Menu on Google Maps is out of date. All they are serving is appetizers, sandwiches and salads. But the Southwestern Salad... with the Seasoned beef is great (even without salad dressing.) Read more

Nice place. The fish was a touch overdone which made it dry-ish. There was a bit more salt on the food than I prefer. Friendly... staff. Good beer selection. I'd give it a try again with a different food selection. As a whole nice place. Read more

Usually when we come over from Indianapolis to visit family, we go to Darcy's Pint but they were closed at 5pm on Sunday. (Both... Google and their website says open til 6pm, so that was pretty unprofessional.) I'm glad they weren't open or else we wouldn'thave came to The Barrel Head! There were only a few patrons at the bar so the bartender let us pick any table and immediatelygot us drinks. Of course, my boyfriend and I couldn't visit Springfield without getting a horseshoe. (Pony for me because Ican't finish the horseshoe!) He got a burger and I got the grilled chicken, and it was delicious. Their fries alone wereawesome, but the cheese sauce made them even better. 5 stars Read more

A group of 8 met up here for dinner tonight. Waitress was very nice and she was quite good at taking care of us. We ordered a... variety of sandwiches, pizzas, horseshoes and a shephards pie. Food wasn't bad for bar food. I don't think I could find a reasonto go here if it was for having dinner with friends. Read more
