We had a wonderful dinner and drinks. Food tasted excellent but the serving was so large for us! Many great beers, bourbons,... whiskeys and more. This place is not just a brewery! Wonderful, low-key, local brewery with an amazingly warm staff! The food is great, and the beer flights are fun. The portion... sizes at Engrained are no joke - they are massive! My husband and I shared a beer flight, the buffalo wings (crisped toperfection!) appetizer, and a horseshoe sandwich. We left stuffed and still had more than half a horseshoe sandwich to takehome! But the best part was the staff! Our waitress was super funny and warm. We loved her! Then, on our way out, a severerainstorm had started, and the host at the desk went out of his way to step out under the front awning with us and invite usback in to wait out the rain on a bench inside. Tasty bar food, with some well labeled vegan options! (Stir fry and fried pickles). I had the house IPA which was pretty good,... maybe not to the level of great. I dont remember the name of our server but she was really nice and friendly, which elevatedthe experience to a 5/5. Read more

We had a group of 20 and was given our own room with plenty of space. I had an Irish Red Beer and it was awesome. Everyone else... enjoyed there micro-brews as well. We ordered a LOT of appetizers and those portions we huge. We ate too many but I did takesome home. One comment about the wings. I’m pretty sure they we legs, short legs but still legs. They we huge and the sauceswe great as well. I had the Comfort Bowl and it hit this spot. Pulled Pork, home fries, cheese sauce, corn. Oh Boy was itgood. I ordered a side Cole slaw as a pallet cleanser. Good choice. We order a couple cheesecakes to share, good but cheesecakeisn’t my thing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We went as a family for lunch and it was a great place for kids. I’ve never been to Springfield so I didn’t know what a... horseshoe was so had to try that and I did it with the buffalo breaded chicken with the smaller size version and it was great!The other things we loved was the cheese curds, kids Mac and cheese (huge portion), and the seltzers! Beer was good, nothing outstanding but everything was enjoyable. Service was excellent and the place looks nice. The quality of... the food was good, they clearly try and use good products but the execution is not great. The beer batter they use on a lot ofthe menu has a great texture but is almost tasteless making most of the appetizers not worth it. The pork special was a nicepork chop but it was way overcooked and the bacon on it was burned. The fish and chips again suffered tremendously from a lackof seasoning. The under par presentation for the food really makes it hard to justify the prices they charge. While some of theother menu options, such as the burgers, looked well done I'm not sure I would give this place another chance. Read more
