My husband and I are newish to Springfield and popped by Tuesday to listen to the band. We were greeted and seated immediately.... There was a fun vibe to the restaurant and it was full for a Tuesday night with a packed parking lot and plenty of peoplesitting outside where the band was. We got the 1/2 off pizza deal: a 14 inch with ham and pepperoni. We loved it at first bite- the sauce was amazing and clearly not from a can. Usually pizza sauce is very sweet and commercial tasting: this was vibrantand bursting with tart, flavorful tomatoes which provided excellent, intense flavor. My husband loves thin crust and this pizzawas perfect: thin crust but with a great crunch to the bottom and some bounce to the dough on top. There was a little seararound the edge that added to flavor and a lot of moisture and juice but not much oil or fat and no sogginess. Great mouthfeel,great taste, good cheese pull. Delicious! My husband was born and raised in NYC but has lived in the Midwest 25 years. Hedeclared this was the best pizza he has had outside of NYC. And we spent $15 minus tip for a 14 inch pizza, a soda, and awater. You can't beat that deal! I ordered their pizza and asked for extra sauce. I ended up getting lots of cheese and the sauce seems normal. Not much... toppings around the edge, too. Read more
Husband and I went here in hopes of having some great food for takeout (as it usually is). We ordered 2 pizzas and appetizer of... onion tanglers. Pizzas were tasty but the tanglers were disappointing. This appetizer is 7.99 but only had around 5 pieces inthe basket. It felt like there was nothing in the packaging. I would have said something when we were there but had alreadyarrived home. For the price, it would have been appreciative to give an appropriate serving. Read more
