I tried the green chili. It was so flavorful and had protein in the cannoli beans. It's in a nice homemade chicken broth. It was... not spicy but it was flavorful. We tried pork tenderloin horseshoe. It was moist and crunchy. Instead of fries we got homemadetater tots. Those are wonderful. I tried a brisket patty melt. So good delicious moist. I got half French fries and halfhomemade onion rings. And of course being the Springfield girl I had to have a side of the white cheese sauce. It is made withreal monterey jack and real milk. Smooth wonderful texture and taste. Everything there is homemade. The owner was so nice andtalked to us for quite a bit. Compared recipes. She has deep fried ribs. She has specials everyday. Embarrassed to say that this is my first time at Cook's! It was amazing. We got there early and the owner let us come in and... drink coffee until they were ready. The service was beyond great! So happy they have reopened my go to for Saturday, Sunday breakfast never had anything bad there. Wide variety of chili's. So... friendly and willing to engage with their customers. Use to be a place to find a exceptional variety of hot sauces and hotpopcorn hopefully they bring that too Read more

We ate breakfast here. Cozy, yummy, fun decor. Lots of veggies on the menu, which was not expected, and they can accommodate... those on gluten-free diets. Very reasonable prices. Our waiter had a great sense of humor. I found the food to be .... bland.The service and atmosphere were good, though. Read more
