I decided to give this place a second try a year layer and it's exactly the same. I ordered 37 dollars worth of food and the... only thing worth the money were the egg rolls. They are good. Everything else is not worth the money. Fried rice is BLAND. Iordered fried chicken wings and Japanese fried chicken wings and they both look the same very small party wings but twocompletely different prices. Wings were overcooked and bland. My husband and son ordered teriyaki chicken and it was BLAND andno veggies as described. I can tell you this place will not last long. Lady on the phone was nice when I placed my order. Wewill NOT return nor recommend this place to anyone I know. I money WASTED. All the bad reviews were spot on! Read more

I?ve ate at a lot of hibachi places in the area this is one of the better ones I?ve ate at. The only thing I didn?t like was the... soup they need to fix it. It has a strong mushroom taste and not enough of the onion flavor and it?s throwing it off. I got thefilet and chicken it was a lot of food and I enjoyed it. Well first we will start with the customer service. My husband had to continuously say maam to get her attention eventhough she... was standing right in front of him. She wasn't rude but she wasn't polite either. Time waiting. They told us our order wouldtake 10 minutes. However it took a little more than 20. Now we will talk about the food. The spring rolls are excellent. That's where it ends. The main meal was edible however it was very bland. The soup tasted like old water with mushrooms. Steak was very low grade very chewy not a hibachi style. Rice tasted like uncle Ben's rice. There spring rolls are good.

Good food at a good price. This is Japanese food... If you don't like Japanese food you will not like this place. However, this... place is delicious. I got the steak hibachi. Steak was cooked perfect to my specification (Medium) and the rice and veggies werehot. Everything tasted fresh and the yum yum sauce was awesome. Soup was good, too. Great food! Other reviewers are complaining that its not good Chinese food. Well....this is NOT Chinese food. Its Japanese food.... It even says it on the name of the place. Everything tasted good, and a good portion was served. Prices were also good. Thestaff was friendly and the service was quick. I know this is a new place, but everything looked clean. The only other Japaneseplace I know close by is away in Cameron, so its nice to have some variety in spring lake. Read more
