Love the bare bones smoking place. All wood smoke. Everything is super tasty. Texas style. We've now had everything they make.... Cannot say enough on what a treat it is to stop here for lunch!!! Great bbq! Stopped by for the first time yesterday and tried the two meat plate - asked for brisket and ribs, brisket was lean... and moist, ribs were quite tasty and had a nice tug when pulling off the bones. Tried the beans and slaw which were both verynice sides. And they provide you squishy white bread (which should be standard protocol at bbq joints. Very small place with afew tables inside and out. They have limited hours so check their schedule. I lived in TX for many years and have eaten myshare- this is some serious good Q. Nice rub on the meats and proper amount of smoke, I WILL RETURN. today I stopped to grab some lunch.... I have been in the food business my whole life, the past 5 years restaurant supply... specifically so I don't wanna brag but I know a thing or two about BBQ... I judge every BBQ place on there Brisket so I got theBrisket sandwich. This was hands down the best whole slice brisket I have ever had, beautiful smoke ring, juice, tender andflavor ful, exactly how brisket should be. The sausage was just spicy enough with excellent smoke flavor. Sides were delicious,mustard based potato salad with huge chunks of just hard enough potatoes. Beans were not drenched in sauce... Stumbled on to this this morning while in the Spring Lake/Nunica area. Super good BBQ joint, only open 11am till 2pm. Very... generous portion.a nice break from corporate food. Will definitely be back. Read more
