Reviews for Screaming Goat Yard & Tap in Spring Branch, TX
First time out trying a new venue and man was I impressed! The service was/is amazing, Camryn did a great job being attentive... while she was training (Tawny). The food came out faster than expected and was full of flavor. The New Orleans vibe comesthrough strong on the flavors in a laid back atmosphere. Definitely worth the drive up from San Antonio!! Today's food adventures brought us to @screaminggoatyard in Spring Branch. The weather cooperated and we got to enjoy the... outdoors but did sit under an umbrella just in case. I was initially thinking crawfish etoufee for Dad and I to share but waswarned that it has a spicy kick to it. Rachel gave us a sample to try. It was too spicy for Dad but hubby liked it so he had itinstead. My husband also had the Hearts of Hearts & Strawberry Salad. Dad and I ended up sharing the Screamin' Sampler Platterwhich had a huge delicious Pretzel, Boudin and Andouille sausages, 3 Boudin Balls, Cheese Curds, 4 Mini Meat Pies, Pickled GreenBeans, Pickled Okra, Beer Cheese and Whole Grain Mustard. It was a lot of tasty and filling food that we couldn't finish. Onething was that the Andouille sausages were on the salty side. For drinks, I had the Cosmic Goat, my husband had the HawaiianJalapeno Bonfire and Yellow Rose Beer, and Dad had the strawberry Italian soda. All yummy! It was the first time Dad playedJenga! Live music was playing in the background and some folks playing corn hole. A fun time was had! We didn't get to try thebeignets because they ran out. This is definitely a nice Sunday drive. During the week, they do have happy hour before 6pm socheck it out! Read more
Jan 14, 2022: We been here a few times. Today, we joined friends for early drinks and dinner The liquor selection is good and... prices are decent. Today, my wife had the spinach and strawberry salad. It looked great and she was impressed. I tried thecheeseburger and fries, but won't make that mistake again. The fries are standard krinkle kut seasoned with cajun spice. Theywere acceptable. The burger however wasn't. It looked appetizing at first but then you notice it's a half inch of lettuce, another half inch of tomato, 3/8" of onion and finally a thin patty with little char. Our friends had the boudin balls(excellent) and the Muffy Salad (acceptable, but not enough protein) Previously, we've had the pretzel and sausage board whichis excellent. Muffuletta was okay. We'll keep trying different things. Read more
What a fun night! We went for the wine flights and cheese board and it was great! We also ordered the pretzel and it comes with... beer cheese and mustard. It was delicious. Our server was awesome as well. He came by frequently to check on us. Onlyrecommendation for the owner....more wine please!! They only had 3 reds on the menu. Would have liked a bit bigger selection tochoose from in the flights. Overall, great fun!! Read more
Outstanding food! The chicken beignets were the star of the show!! I really enjoyed the Madame Croquet. And our pretzel was... delicious. (Regular size was perfect for 4 of us). The French toast was a bit strange ? the flavors were incredible. But it wasserved on baguette bread which was VERY hard, most of it went uneaten by our table. I?d try to sub the bread for Texas Toastnext time. Great flavors, good portions, lively atmosphere, live music, friendly wait staff. Can?t wait to come back next time! Read more
