I have bought a ham from Honey Baked for years on FM 1960 and also in Spring. I waited in line 2 hours and 15 minutes on Tuesday... before thanksgiving this year. I had pre ordered and pre paid. They had two lines. One for people like me that had ordered andpaid and one for those that just pre ordered but not paid. It took an hour to get through the line that wasn?t pre paid. Ordered my meal 3 weeks ago and went to pick it up and was told my sides were sold out! What a joke. The other location in... Houston is just as bad, ordered some extra bird over a week ago from there and was told the bird was not ready for at least anhour because they're still cooking it! Pre-ordered AND pre-paid for a half ham for Thanksgiving. When placing the order, I chose a pickup window on Tuesday (2 days... before Thanksgiving) between 3-3:30. I arrived within that window and still had to wait 45 minutes in a line that was probablyabout 20 people deep. All of us had reserved the same time slot and paid in advance. There was a separate line, which wassignificantly longer, for people who reserved a ham but didn't pay before arrival. After having already reserved and paidonline, in advance, I can see no reason that I should've waited more than 5-10 minutes for a ham that was sitting in the cooler,ready to go. The staff were nice but the whole situation was so poorly managed that it's almost unbelievable. They could find norecord of anyone's order...even though they'd already accepted funds. So, be prepared to show your receipt if you decide to geta ham. Their system is terrible. Why there wasn't a list of customer names who paid in advance with a description of purchaseditems, in alphabetical order, separated by time slot, I will never know. Orders had to be placed days in advance so it's notlike the list would be ever-changing. The whole thing was just ridiculous. Get it together Honeybaked Ham. The ham was good, asusual, but the service was so alarmingly poor that I will never return. Read more

I pre-paid for my Thanksgiving meal with the promise it would make check out quicker. I showed up to pick up, and the line... (even for pre-paid) was wrapped around the store. I asked some customers how long they had been waiting... 3 HOURS? For a hamand frozen sides? No thanks. I cancelled the order. So much for this Thanksgiving meal being simple. Read more

I?m waiting in the eternal line to pick up my online reservation the day before thanksgiving. This location has 2 lines, one for... online orders and one for walk ins. The walk in line has 3 check outs while the online reservation line has but one. I?ve beenwaiting over an hour for something I planned ahead for meanwhile walk in orders are flying out the door. This is pretty poorcustomer service and a very inefficient way to go about this. I?m unhappy before I?ve even tried the food, way to go. Read more

I am not one who writes reviews (negative or positive), but I need to write this in hope that it will help customers. And inform... the management of this store about the inefficient way one of their loyal customers was treated. I probably will not return. Iwent in to pick up a pound of ham by the slice for dinner tonight. It was about 12:30 and I was the only customer in the store.There were no packages of ham in the cooler. So, I asked about them. She told me they are not ready!!! As I looked up and sawand smelled the hams wrapped in gold foil. And know that customers will be asking for ham sandwiches. How, I wonder will shemake those sandwiches? She did tell me to ?come back in 20 minutes?. So, I left and stopped at HEB to purchase a hickory smokedham steak to make for dinner. I will make a pineapple sauce on it to bake in the oven. And I know it will smell and tastedelicious in comparison to the ham slices. AND I definitely save a lot of money. 1/3 the cost. You do off a quality ham, but notso polished on the quality of your customer service. I am sorry to report it is not worth the time or money to return. You havelost a customer. Read more

Ordered a week in advance for Easter lunch. I prepaid! When I arrive to pick up they are out of 2 things I ordered and already... paid for. No one called me to let me know. I was told to choose something else which was basically nothing I wanted because theywere out of everything. When your ordered is prepaid the item should be there for you when you arrive not given to other peoplecoming last minute to buy stuff. Very disappointing and this was my first visit with this store.
