I love the atmosphere of this restaurant, especially while sitting outdoors with the view of the park lawn and a partial view of... the water. The menu might be rotational or seasonal as some of the items I saw on the Google menu, weren?t on their physicalmenu. The avocado fries were great and so was the Cajun pasta. Prices are higher than a normal restaurant, but since it?sattached to the hotel they charge more. Parking is sparse too, unless you valet. Read more

I dropped by today after my usual walk. I tried to call to place my order, as I was sweaty and didn't want to go inside. The... number went to the hotel and they transferred me to a vm. I tried calling a direct # on their website and it went to vm as well.I ended up walking in. It took a while for someone to help me. Everyone was in the back. I finally ordered and informed thegentleman that I would eat outside (They have a beautiful patio for dining). The employee was very nice. He took my order andinformed me that he would bring it to me. Food arrived in to- go packaging, as requested. The employee offered to refill ourdrinks and took an additional to-go order for me. Other than the call in difficulty, I have no complaints about the service, food or facility. Restaurant was clean, patio tables were clean and free of debris, service was great and the food was good. Weordered the Conductors Queso, Crispy Chicken Wings (Shiner BBQ) and the CityPlace Smoked Turkey Club. We will definitely go backand try more items. Read more

My one star is solely based on the customer service we received by the morning staff members at this place. It?s not based on... the food. I?m sure it would of been good if we actually received any type of service. We waited and waited we were the only onesthere. I watched a group of staff members just standing by the bar and restaurant entrance. We were really looking forward tothis breakfast. Y?all know I like to eat! Any who we stood up and left and I made front desk of aware and asked if it was evenopen (they did go through the trouble of sitting us down when we arrived) since we didn?t get any service. She walked over tothem and made them aware. They apologized but at that point we had already looked up a different restaurant to have our brunchat. *** As I was checking out the front desk apologized (she didn?t have to) she allowed my husband and I access to the M lounge(which it?s something I?m working towards ????) we had a little bite. So the photo with actually food is from the M lounge. Thebartenders are AMAZING they get 5 stars! Read more

I?m starting to write reviews on the places I eat not to hurt anyone?s businesses but more as a constructive feedback. We... ordered the Chicken & Waffles and the Eggs Benedicts. The place has a nice environment and the service is great. However, for aplace like this they need to pay attention to the details. My plate was visible chipped. Eggs were overcooked. Pork belly wasdry and overcooked. English muffins were flat and dry also. The hollandaise sauce was too acidic and superseded any otherflavor. Potatoes were fried in overused oil. Chicken and waffles were decent. Wings were crispy and moist. Read more

Ambient restaurant in a hotel with good food. Honestly, we went for some wine, shared an appetizer, and salad. From what we ate... it was delicious! This restaurant/hotel is located in a nice little area. Great for dates to walk around the pond. Now, let'stalk about service... I will have to say, service was ok/good. Although, the server was nice, her experience in fine dining waslimited. The prices are not bad and it seems like its not really busy. Probably because its a newer area. Still, I will go backfor more. Read more

I stayed at the Houston City Place Marriott on a Thursday night and decided to go down to this restaurant so I can eat after a... long day of traveling. I ordered the 8oz Black Angus Sirloin and a drink. There was only one server, and maybe 2 other partiesseated.. my drink and my food took about 30 minutes to come to my table. I ordered medium well and as you can see by thepictures that?s not medium well. On top of that my food came to my table barely warm, and my asparagus was cold. I asked theserver to heat my food up, not to remake it but to heat it up. That took 20 minutes, but when my plate came back my food wasstill not hot. The young server was extremely nice, but that doesn?t replace the fact that my food was not edible. After over anhour in the restaurant I asked to speak to the manager, she never came to my table at all? when I walked out I asked her if shewas the manager and her response was ?I am ONE OF the managers? ?oh I heard about your food? but never came to my table toattempt to resolve it! To resolve the issue I had to find her. On top of that I WAS NOT COMPED for what I was able to eat/drink.The waiter brought me the wrong tab, as well as messed up the tab of the table next to me. For the extremely slow service, thesetypes of mistakes are not okay. I wouldn?t eat here again. Read more

My breakfast croissant sandwich was yummy! I couldn't eat the entire thing, so I suggest splitting it with another person. The... service was quick and the staff is cordial. My only complaint is as a guest of the hotel I was under the impression my breakfastwas prepaid. Well, it was, but it was up to me to tell the greeter. I honestly expect the greeter to explain the difference toguests. How would I know I should be dining in a different area? I suppose an open menu is the hint. Oh well. Read more
