Today was the last time I will ever go to this shipleys again. I will drive to the one on 2920 from now on. A few months back I... had a hair in one my kolaches and today I ordered 4 Bold kolaches with cheese, two glazed donuts and an order of donut holeswith two chocolate milks. As soon as I opened the kolache bag what do I see?!? A FREAKING LONG HAIR which immediately grossed meout. I was to far to turn around and every time I go the ladies are not wearing any hairnets or at least have it put up orsomething. Kolaches tasted old and this ain?t the first time they have tasted old. To the owner of the store please make youremployees wear hairnets because more people will walk away like I just did. 2920 shipleys will get my business again because Inever had hair in my food and kolaches always taste fresh. This location is, by far, the worst Shipley I've come across. My family and I were SO excited when we learned one was opening so... close to home. My daughter loves some of the filled donuts and kolaches. However, so many times we've been greeted there withpoor attitudes, and an extremely lacking selection. Even the kolaches we've asked for have wound up having jalepenos in them.While I do not mind that, my daughter does, and won't eat that. They never have her selection of filled, and the ones they dohave look like they've been crushed. In order to get what we wanted, months ago, while I was ailing from an injury, we placed aDoorDash order the night before, and even that arrived incorrect. In fact, we literally only received half of it. And, lastnight, I placed an order for this morning on the actual Shipley website, but when I arrived at the drive-thru to pick it up,(met with typical poor attitude) she told me I had to come inside to get it. Now, I was in a rush, and didn't have the time tocheck, but when I did, it turns out they completely changed part of my order. Plus, when I was pulling away from the store,someone from the back came out holding a small child in her arms. Now, I understand, being a parent myself, that childcare canbe expensive, and sometimes you just run out of options some days, but when you have a store with problems such as this, maybeyou should be focusing on your job, and not bringing your children in where they might take that focus away from doing thatjob. Out of the number of times I have been to this location, not a single one has been satisfactory. It's better to drive 5-10minutes down the road to the nearest one, or go to Snowflake 30 seconds up the road. Read more
Well I stopped by this morning Wed. May 25 , 2022 at 5:20 am and they looked at me like I was crazy when I knocked on the drive... thru window and they motioned they where closed , not open ?? I pulled around front of the store and got out and walked up tothe front door and looked at business hours and it says 5:00 am to 2:00 pm??? Even though service was fast, we ordered 4 kolaches and we only got 2. We turned back around to get the 2 missing kolaches and... they looked at us that we were lying. We also asked if they could swap out our donut holes because they were old and the cashiersaid they can't and they all look that way. Read more
Shipley's is my only choice for donuts since I was a kid so I have experience w/ many locations over the course of many years.... It saddens me to report this new, long awaited location is doing it wrong! The donuts are a little smaller, some filled donutshave NO filling at all (Bavarian creme, creme filled) and don't taste quite as good. It'd help if they could get the order rightas well. I gave 2 stars for cherry icing having made it on a round donut, glaze having made it onto another even though it allfell off with the first bite & napkins in the bag. This donuts are out of this world. They have a great variety of donuts and they are delisious. They are soft and thick. My... favorites are the glazed donut. I also enjoy the one with sprinkles and white frosting, the bavarian filled and, the creamfilled. My wife's favorite is the sugarwhite donut. I like that you can choose a variety of drinks to have with your donuts.They have milk, coffee and, soft drinks. They also decorate their donuts for the season. This location recently opened.
