Food from buffet was cold. A lot of money for a buffet in the first place then the food... Chicken had a stange taste.
Awesome service my family's been coming to this hartz for a while now and they always treat us right. Food wise issa buffet my... brother complains because the chicken is average at best but the mashed potatoes and gravy, tenders, hot wings and of course ourfavorite fish and tartar sauce are consistently above average and warm all in all great family joint but im not sure if ide comealone. The Chicken Livers are excellent - especially the way ms gamboolgal does it. Do recommend the Livers. Can't say about the ... rest - as all we have tried is the Livers. We got a dozen of them to go and they cook'em fresh while we waited. ms gamboolgalthen fried up her home cooked Yard Bird, mashed potatoes, gravy, Purple Hull Peas, Collard Greens, Pepper Sauce, Corn on the Cob, fresh sliced tomatoes, raw onions, Serrano Peppers. Chicken is usually good (rare occasion of bad cooking) and the sides are all on par with the other chicken places at a much... better price. The rolls are great. I can't comment on the inside buffet. Problem with this location is that they always have aline. Not because it's so popular but because it takes 20+ minutes for 3 cars to go through the drivethru. One of the best Hartz Chicken in the area ... They have fish that is whole fillet and corn meal battered .. very good.. Food is... fresh and they pay good attention to the buffet to keep it that way .. they also have a big screen TV ..
