Ruins is still open during construction! They’ve been on my list to visit for a while so I wanted to show support during the... chaos that is construction season. To start, I was thoroughly impressed by the drink menu. It features full proof, low proof,and zero proof cocktails. You can tell they put a lot of thought and creativity into their drinks. I got the Nom de Plume and itwas really good! Moving on to dinner, my friend and I were a little disappointed at the lack of pescatarian and vegetarianoptions for main entrees. We ended up ordering off the snack/appetizer menu since they had more to choose from. The brusselssprouts had great flavor and the curry egg salad was well executed. We had the best meal! The food (hummus, the cod, the roasted pork shoulder) was perfect and generous. Every flavor worked well... as a whole. Wish we lived in Spokane so we could try every dish. A little pricier than I anticipated, but the food was delicious, decent sized portions, and the restaurant had a cool... atmosphere. I got the pork belly. It had a nice savory flavor that balanced well with the parsnip puree. Read more

Very Amazing! Love the Riverside location, so happy to see this wonderful establishment survive the pandemic and evolve. Truly a... menu for the adventurous as well as one who loves the simple classics. I had the duck, I have never even tried duck before itwas amazing paired with roasted beets.
