Reviews for Legal Soup Kitchen in Spokane, WA
Legal Soup Kitchen is an experience I will never forget. I\'m a single mother with 7 kids ranging from the ages of 4-17. I\'ve... recently returned to college to pursue a PhD in physical therapy and I\'m forced to work 3 part time jobs to keep my familyafloat. My kids are WILD, but I still love them. And they love me, but one thing that challenges their love for me is their loveof soup. I was trying to find a good restaurant with prices I could afford to take my children to. I was searching all over! Then I found something that changed my life... Legal Soup Kitchen.\n\nAs I looked through all the wonderful reviews, andimmediately knew this was the right place for me. For my family. I instantly loaded all my kids into the car and drove as fastas I could (without breaking the speed limit of course) into the woods of South Spokane. And there, I saw the most glorioussight my eyes have ever beheld. The sunlight casted a heavenly glow across the building and I could almost hear a choir singingof all the wonders within.\n\nUpon entry, we were warmly greeted by the hostess. There was an unbelievably short wait for atable, even though the place was full! There were so many options in the menu and it was a difficult choice, but i eventuallysettled on the broccoli cheddar soup. Soon, a wonderful, young, ginger, British waiter came out. He was quite charming, and Icould tell my daughter certainly thought so too. He quickly took our order and our food was out within minutes! Amazing! Icannot even begin to describe the liquid glory served at Legal Soup Kitchen! My soup was a perfect balance of, well, everythingI\'d ever dreamed of! And the kids loved it!\n\nNever in a million years would I have thought I would find such a wonderfulplace so close by! The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly, there was fast service, and affordable prices! I walkedout with a smile on my face that not even news of the world ending could have gotten rid of! My children and I now vi Read more

This was something of a discovery for someone whose entire experience of soup to this point had consisted of Campbell’s cream... of tomato and chicken noodle. I’d eaten in restaurants before, sure, but this was the first food I really noticed. It was thefirst food I enjoyed and, more important, remembered enjoying. I asked our patient British waiter what this delightfully cool, tasty liquid was.\n\n‘Vichyssoise,’ came the reply, a word that to this day—even though it’s now a tired old warhorse ofa menu selection still has a magical ring to it. I remember everything about the experience: the way our waiter ladled it from asilver tureen into my bowl, the crunch of tiny chopped chives he spooned on as garnish, the rich, creamy taste of leek andpotato, the pleasurable shock, the surprise that it was cold.\n\nI don’t remember much else about the Legal Soup Kitchen. Butthat cold soup stayed with me. It resonated, waking me up, making me aware of my tongue, and in some way, preparing me forfuture events. Best soup in Spokane hands down. Difficult to find, but totally worth it. Read more
