My first experience with Kismet and the head Chef came as I was volunteering at an event for Big Table. I was able to sample all... the dishes that night and when I tell you I fell in love with this food, I am not kidding. The elote alone, was out of thisworld! I finally made it into the restaurant and was still blown away. The food here is amazing. Period! You must give it ashot! Read more

My dad took me to Kismet for my birthday dinner. It was recommended by family friends. Tucked away on a quiet side street off... Market St on Queen. Unassuming, small clean restaurant/bar atmosphere. Definitely casual attire. I would describe the menu as?Bistro- style Mexican w/ a splash of Spanish flare. My dad had the braised pork cheeks w/ a verde sauce. Very tender w/just theright amount of sweet & savory sauce over a bed of cheese raviolis. I had a ground pork burger w/ red cabbage slaw. Had s littlebit of a chili kicker. The Mexican brownie w/ homemade ice cream was my favorite though! Full bar drink options. Familyfriendly. Would love to try the Octopus Paella next time! Feel like an adventure dinner date, definitely head up to Hillyard &dine at Kismet! Read more

Our hostess was gracious; the food was outstanding! We had the beef cheek tacos (pictured), tamales, and Cubano. Everything was... delicious, creative, and so well executed ? like the texture of the tamales was just right! We were delighted. ???? Read more

Went for a six course meal with local craft beer pairing. What an incredible experience. Beautiful presentations, but even... better flavor combinations. I just wish I had room to finish every last bite. Kudos, Chef and Kismet Team! Read more

Checked out Kismet for lunch. I played it safe for the first visit and got the Kismet burger. It was really good! A bit salty... for my taste but I think that was more a butter aoli that comes on it. Great quality beer though! My friends ordered the Reubenand said it was the BEST they had ever had...so I plan to go back for that. Super friendly and patient service. Read more

We had the braised pork belly?.. not impressed just a big pile of mush , over cooked and very greasy?. 23 bucks ?I guess... Hillyard is suffering from good places to eat since this has a 4.8 star rating. My husband and I split a meal, which is the onlyreason this was between 10 and $20 a person. However friendly service , hence the 2 stars and not 1. Read more
