Food might be good but we didn?t have a chance to try it cause we bolted away. The server is a bigot. Told us we didn?t have a... place to seat,said it was for other customers. My name might look foreign but I am a physician, served American patients, blackor white or any any other colored skin . Tried to call the manager but refused to come out. Classic American food diner, not sure if it is a local chain or more widespread as I have only seen Millstone in Rapid City x2... and one in Spearfish. Breakfast is what I'm usually there for and really it's nothing special unless you are going for the pieand cinnamon buns. Those 2 items alone gave this place 2 of the four stars. Read more
We stopped at this Millstone because we were stayed at the neighbor Best Western Black Hills Lodge. We were VERY disappointed.... We went to the restaurant before 9:00pm and met with unhappy and kind of angry waitress, and a few quiet customers. We didn'tknow what's happened there before we came. We were told there were no soup and no salad bar, as shown in the menu. We orderedBBQ rib, and it was cold and not fully cooked. We had to ask for reheating. It turned out to be hard to eat. Not once didanyone ask how things were so we let it go. We were pass-by the area and checked for restaurants rating before chose this one.It was really a bid disappointment. Read more
I went here for breakfast this morning. The pancakes are light and airy and perfect. So delicious! I had their breakfast... special...for 5.55. You can't beat that. Teo eggs, two bacon strips (good ????- not too salty and perfectly cooked) and twosweet cream pancakes. The house syrup is really good. I don't know what kind it is but it doesn't leave that plasticaftertaste. The server was very nice and attentive. Coffee was good! Would for sure eat here again! ???? P.s. the view isamazing! Fantastic Mom and Pop, Homestyle restaurant, with great all American, comfort dishes at a good price and friendly, attentive... staff. We had both breakfast and lunch here and all the meals were delicious. Excellent Country fried steak and eggs withoutstanding gravy. Also recommend the hot meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes, smothered in a rich, brown Country gravy.Great place to enjoy a Hometown Family breakfast, lunch or dinner. Read more

A tried and true local favorite. I remember going here years ago when i was young and when I was in college. The faces may... have changed but it is always warm, clean, and inviting. They have a plethora of comfort food and drinks and are kid friendly. They do great decorations for holidays. It is always a pleasure to come back here. Read more
