Reviews for Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in Spartanburg, SC

I only have one issue and that is there should be more seating outside. There needs to more covered benches to accommodate... waiting customers to fill your restaurant in order for you to make all that $$$ ???? Don't get me wrong the food is good. Ok so obviously this is a Olive Garden, there were 884 Olive Garden restaurants in North America and for me to be compelled... enough to write a thorough review something about this experience had to be amazing and boy howdy, hold on to your 1996collection of beanie babies that will never be worth anything because this experience was a doozie. So we arrived on a crowdedFriday night with that "we checked in online" swag and and were escorted to the seating by the bar. One of our group muttered"oh no by the bar, we're not going to get good service" the maître d' assured us our server was better than our wildest dreamsand was magic. Moments later we were greated by someone to took an entry level position with master level energy. Some wouldcall this man a sorcerer, some would call him a wizard, and folks from Salem 1693 would call him a witch but he introducedhimself as Austin. Austin is was the entire package, this man was funny, charismatic, and was on point all night. I honestlydid not think an olive garden waiter could make going to olive garden fun but Austin took that old slogan "when you're here,you're family" to heart. Dude took our drink order and refused to let our drinks go down. One of our party members wasnotorious for chewing up and spitting out wait staff like sunflower seeds but Austin had her lauging and giggling the entirenight. With every business being short and customer service going the way of the dodo Austin showed up and took pride in aunderappreciated field. I humbly submit this review to Google and a tweet to OG on Twitter in praise of this olive gardenhero. The food: 9/10 its Olive Garden you should already know if you like it. This Olive Garden is phenomenal! The management is absolutely unbeatable in my opinion! Everything from getting seated, to the... table service, and beyond has been wonderful!!! Update January 15th 2022 - we went and checked in via Olive Garden wait list on their app and the app said we would be waiting... close to 30 minutes. We waited inside and looked at their to go menu & We were seated within only 15 minutes. We ordered ourdrinks & an appetizer while we waited for our salad ( my favorite thing there ! ) The waitress was.... slow on getting theorder and we had just gotten our soup & salad literally 5 minutes before we received our entrées. Ordered dessert viatableside tablet & it was brought the fastest out of anything that evening. Also paid with debit card via tableside tablet sothere was no waiting around on her to take my card and it be 15 minutes before we saw her again. I appreciate the fact thatalcoholic beverages were not offered this time also! No need to force the alcohol - they know y'all have it & if they want it,they are going to order it regardless if it's offered or not. So thank you because there was a recovering alcoholic in theparty. 3 months ago.... Went last night before going to the movies, around 5:30 p.m. Was told there would be a 15 - 20 minutewait. Sat down to wait and was buzzed only after waiting 2 minutes. Server was polite and very quick. Food was excellent asalways! Salad and breadsticks were on point as expected! It is so nice to be able to go to a restaurant and KNOW you will getsomething good..... and know it will be exactly what you had 2 years prior. I love how they continue to take pride in thequality of their food. It really shows in the plates they bring out. I can't give them a higher rating than a 5 star so that'swhat it will have to be. I always recommend this location and others to Olive Garden. Its one of my favorite Italian restaurants..The hot bread sticks and the chicken Gnocci soup is Awesome... delicious and filling... and when accompanied by Shrimp spagetti with 5 cheese marinara sauce is its like you will burst eating...The ambience is so calmn relaxing with dim yellow lights... overall experience of having a dinner at the reataurant was great... ????????????????????
