Went in at 7pm. Tuesday August 30, 3022. Limited selections on buffet. Asked if it was going to be refilled and was told no.... Fried foods would not be refilled either, per our waitress. There was not much to choose from. People kept coming in to eat andwere told at the register that they had better hurry because they were already cleaning and fixing to close. No one, includingus, were told about the limited food on the buffet until after we all paid and were all seated and brought our drink orders. Wedidnt pay that large amount to have limited food selections and to be told the kitchen was not going to refill the meats andvegetables that were missing. The food was too salty and way overcooked. Dry chicken and pork chops that had been sitting along time. Terrible tasting beef liver and gravy. Dry crunchy rice. Pasty instant potatoes. Very dry macaroni and cheese madewith water. All selections had clearly been there for hours and was not going to be changed until it was all eat. Yuck!! Wastold by our waitress that all of the recipes were the owners. Wow, they need to learn to cook and change recipes. We quit goingfor several years for these same reasons. We only went tonight because the line at Wade's was outside and well into the parkinglot. Overall it's a pretty decent place. Their baked chicken is defently really good as is the meatloaf, Mac n cheese, greenbeans and... slaw. I'm sure other stuff was good but that's all I had. Read more
Food was very good as well as the staff. Very busy but able to find table.
My buddy and I had lunch there today. He loved the chicken strips and the fish. We both loved the pintos and cornbread with some... onion. The green beans and collards also. Everything's good. Best bang for your buck around. Desserts, salads, what more couldyou ask for for less than 10 bucks? Read more
We stopped here for lunch after a visit to Wofford College. It's 7.99 for the buffet and 2.99 for your drink. If you wanna... cheaper place for lunch this is a ok place to go. The tea was weak didn't really have any sugar. The kinds of food on the barwas as expected.. they had a few more salad type things than usual. My pics will reflect kind of the idea of what they had onthe bar. They also had 3 kinds of ice cream I didn't get that.. I chose the small pieces of cake.. The place was clean as itcould be. The plates were picked up on the regular. The waitresses weren't talkative but,, they did get what we needed whenasked.. Bathrooms were as clean as they could be. They did NOT smell. The only things is it was HOT in there. Like the air wasfrozen up or something. They kept the hot food rotated and look fresh cooked. Food just didn't really have a flavor to it. So for one ! The prices are amazing ! It?s not a huge buffet ! However, that means absolutely nothing ! The food is so good !... Always fresh and rotated out once the pan was empty !
