I enjoyed the food very much. Sides and roll were on point and the BBQ sauce! I mixed the habanero with the sweet. Very tasty.... Downside was the coleslaw and the brisket was underseasoned but I think it may have been intentional so the sauces would beincorporated. I will say the brisket was tender and soft like butter. Had brunch here today......O.M.G. It was amazing. Nicole was a great waitress, very attentive and helpful. Im new to SC and... finding an appreciation for grits. Their pepperjack grits hot the spot. Also had the make your own omelete...they give you 5ingredients! And the mimosas are just right! Read more
Went here for a Sunday lunch date with my husband and we absolutely loved it! The food was amazing. Husband's brisket was... perfect, along with fried okra and mashed potatoes. Oh and that biscuit! Never tried a better one. My salad with chicken wasjust as delicious. Bloody Mary was top notch, and you can't beat bottomless mimosas with 3 different kinds of juices! We had a good visit, our first time. Any place that serves pork rinds right out of the gate is fine with me. We had the Between... the Buns and the Grits and Pepper with Shrimp. Smoked shrimp with BBQ sauce and creme on grits is awesome, who knew. The chickenbetween the buns was smoked and tasted just right for us. BBQ, to me, is like someone's favorite color, its different foreverybody. I would highly suggest Initial Q if you are in town for a visit. We will go back and work our way through the menu. Read more
The place was not too busy, which is expected on a Tuesday night. Sat at the bar and was helped by Alex, great customer service.... Ordered the wings which were a great choice, they come with dry smoked jalapeños that are sweet and spicy at the same time,such brilliant idea. Ordered the Q platter to share, the brisket was the best part of the platter, totally recommend. Not surehow the service would equate to a really busy day, but on a slow day was great. Read more
5 stars is NOT ENOUGH! Service, amazing. Food, amazing. Atmosphere, amazing. I mean, I had already died and gone to "fat girl... heaven" and then we ordered dessert. The chocolate torte was VERY good, but Y'ALL... White. Chocolate. Krispy. Kreme. Bread.Pudding!!?!?!!! Holy cow! I don't know who thought of this, but I'm probably going to spend some serious time attempting torecreate such a thing... and of course come back to have the correct version a few more times too! Absolutely amazing! My family and I stopped in from out of town for a few soccer friendlies. They greeted us with homemade pork... rinds and a small assortment of homemade BBQ sauces and a list of their bases.Very unique starter and presentation. We then hadtwo drinks one which was a sweet and spicy drink and a peachy mint one. Both were strong and refreshing. Not weak and boring. For dinner, we shared the IQ platter and it was delicious. Brisket, pork, sausage, burnt ends, mac, mash and brussel sprouts.Enjoyed every bit. The rolls and the pickled veggies that accompanies the platter were tasty. We concluded our night with theirbread pudding dessert- yet again delicious! We usually eat in downtown Greenville but opted for downtown Spartanburg instead.What a great area and great experience. Out of all the places for our work outing, we decided to go to IQ. This was my first time to the area, but a few of my... coworkers had been here before so apparently the food is good because they all wanted to come back. The atmosphere and decorwas very nice and surprising to me because it was not the typical bbq joint atmosphere I was expecting. And what a surprise toget a whole plate of freshly made pork rinds. I am a lover of pork rinds so it was a plus. The eggnog martini wasoutstanding! More of a dessert for me, but yummy and perfect for the holidays! Read more
