Considering the shortage of workers, a pleasant experience. I've been to nicer Applebee's but the manager on duty (Malcolm) went... above and beyond to accommodate me. I guess we went on a bad night. We ordered the 2 for $23 deal. My cheese burger wasn't done at all, it was swimming in blood... on the lettuce. I took it apart and the pickles were swimming in blood. I knew then it wasn't done at all. My sister orderedthe same thing and hers had a little bit of blood on top of the lettuce. It was red in the middle and we changed the meal alltogether. It took awhile to get our food because one of the cooks came out to the dining room with an attitude because he hadbeen there working since 830am that morning. He said they keep putting in orders and the screen was overlapping with orders andit was just two of them cooking. Overall it seemed like every staff member had attitudes and really didn't want to be there atthe moment. We should have went somewhere else. The manager did try to fix our tickets to satisfy us. The cook should havebeen talking to the manager about how long he been working etc in the kitchen not coming out there twice with a major attitudecomplaining about being there all day working. Evidently they are short staffed and over worked in there. He even said he wasgoing to close the kitchen down because they couldn't keep up with all the orders being put in. They closed at midnight andpeople were still coming in to eat after 11pm. I guess they should have closed early due to them being exhausted from being inthe kitchen all day. No customers should have to hear the cook complaining about being there all day working. I think thingscould have been handled a different way. If I could I would rate this a three point five but I can so I will give them a four. The food was good and we were seated fast,... but we didn't see much of our waitress; she was friendly, but I didn't see much none the less. As I looked around I didn't see alot of connection between the guest and the waiters and waitresses. Things started out well with server Meghan E., but went downhill quickly. After she delivered our food we never saw her again to... see if all was ok. Yet she spent about 10 minutes at the booth behind us talking about her boyfriend?s car, and how hair andcars were ?her thing?. And that she?s never done black people?s hair. I sat my empty wine glass at the edge of the table, butshe never asked if I wanted a refill. I didn?t, but would have like a Sprite. She must have heard my husband and I quietlycommenting about the situation, and pretty much slammed the tab on our table. Yet because we are decent people we left her a $10tip. We will not go back to this location EVER! We arrived and were seated in a few minutes, which for a Friday night is okay. But... the only table for us ( a table for 5) was at the very back near the only fire exit.(see photo). Our server had to work around atable of 8-10 screaming kids in town for a dance competition of some kind. 8-10 year old's on sugar rushes. Our food andappetizers arrived okay. But the draft from the seals around the exit door were terrible! It should also be mentioned that Iwork in life and fire safety and have a background with fire issues. It would be a very good idea for a fire Marshall to makean inspection. Not to mention that the place only has ONE working restroom with broken towel dispensers and overflowing trashcans. We had to give up having any type of conversation due to the noise from the kids and their moms at the next table. Asdinner went on their wine and sodas were flowing so much the server had to keep clearing their table. I have bee to some Applebee's, and this ine was the worst. The restaurant itself did not feel clean. I was actually seeing the... back of bar, and it was disgusting. The food was stale and not fresh. The ribs were acceptable, but the wings were definitelynot ( you can actually see the wing dish in the pictures). The only thing that was worth eating here was the artichoke dip. Itwas delicious. Overall however, I do not suggest this Applebee's at all. Read more
