Even though the restaurant looked full we got our meal very quickly. The staff was busy but still had time to stop and talk,... not just ask how everything was and run away. The cinnamon egg and sausage sandwich was different and very good. Read more
Service was good, food was iffy. I have heard it is normally good, but not my experience. I ordered shrimp, it was barely warm.... The cocktail sauce was gelatinous. We came in for a quick late lunch. We waited about 5 minutes at our table for her to walk up and tell us she?d be right back she... needed to go see if a different table wanted any pie. After about 3 more minutes she returned an took our order. It was aextremely easy order. BLT, fries, and soup an salad for myself. Also a Patty Melt, fries, and the add-on cup of soup for $1.She brought us our soup without crackers, proceeded to tell us that it was Sunday Funday and apparently they were out of a lotof things today and she would have to go search for crackers. She comes back a few minutes later with a basket of crackers (onceour soup is almost gone) She then later comes out to the table and lets me know that my food is almost ready and she would bringit right out to which I responded I will wait for his food to be ready also thank you but you can just bring mine at the sametime. (As I feel it?s disrespectful to just eat my lunch in front of someone I?m dining with) She almost immediately brought itto me anyway. so it sat and got cold while I waited for her to return with his food. When she returned she only brought him asandwich, no fries. When we asked for his fries she proceeded to argue with us that he had asked for soup INSTEAD of fries(simple misunderstanding however no reason to argue simply fix the mistake and move on) she went back to the kitchen and cameback about a minute later with a plate of hard cold fries. At this point we were kind of just ready to leave and finished so wecould go. She returned with the check only for me to find that she changed for his meal, the add-on soup, AND a extra side offries. (Your patty melt is served with the choice of fries, soup, salad, or a side of fruit) As someone who has served for themajority of the last 20 years this was just a overall horrible experience.
