Great place to hang out and drink a great beer. Comfortable place to sit and visit with other like people.
Even though I'm not a huge fan of beer, the bartender was incredible and let me taste each one and gave me fantastic tasting... notes! She called me a champ for being willing to try them! The atmosphere is unbeatable. Such a beautiful location, amazingoutdoor seating. Klaus the pup is just the best too. Parents are regulars, and we will absolutely make it a regular visitwhenever we are in town! Try the popcorn! Read more
Fantastic! This is a fantastic place to just chill after a hike or kayak trip! The service is superb, too. Friendly doggies... are welcome, which makes it even better. Don't forget to pick up some Calfkiller swag! They have cool shirts. Plus, they dosell growlers! This is a must do. Read more
We stop here every time we pass through the area. Pet friendly outdoor area allows the furry family members to get in on the... action as long as they aren?t behaving like the drunken cousins trying to liven up the party. Recently sanpled a Calfkiller pint at the Outback in Cookeville. When I learned it was a microbrewery I would be able to visit,... I made a plan to stop by when I had to travel to Sparta, TN. At the time I decided to sample a small growler of the Sergio's OleAle and with a straight face I can say that Sergio's Ale from the Calfkiller Brewery is currently the single best beer I haveever had. For me, it hits my tongue -- jist right, found it to be an excellent complement to steak. Nice job, can't wait tovisit again soon. Read more
Kudos to this brewery for making beers that are enjoyable without adding the bazaar flavor combos like so many others do. Rita... was awesome, giving us a taste and explanation of each beer on tap (only 4 on their menu board, but she served us 2 others thatwere "in back"). All were solid, fresh and unique. Amazing atmosphere and beer! It is always a treat to travel almost two hours to this brewery. I can't say I'd travel far for... many but this is on the list. If you are traveling through the area make sure you stop. When you get about 15 minutes away makesure you drive slow to take in where you are, Amazing scenery! Once you enter the brewery everyone is super friendly andknowledgeable about the beer. Super cool bar area, small but cozy! Can't go wrong with any of their beer. Once you got your beerjust relax in there super awesome outdoor area where you can play games, build a fire, and pet the brewery dog Claus Sergio. Read more
